"I have never laid down on the grasses before..." I whispered while gazing into the millions of stars above. "Really? In my case, way back in my early ages, I'm always lying down on the grasses at night, watching these stars..."
"Aren't you afraid of some possible creeps outside at night?" I asked her and she answered, "No. I enjoy the night time ever since." Amazed, I turned to her and stared. After a moment of silence, she noticed me and asked, "Why are you staring like that?"
"You're too brave..." I answered that made her chuckle. "How did you say so? By any chance, are you afraid of darkness?" She asked again. "Well, when I was still a child, Grandma always read me a bedtime story about monsters at night, so yeah..."
"That's too cute!" She laughed to tease me. "Actually, there's another reason. One night, when I was five, my parents invited our neighbor to have a dinner in our house for an event. Then their child just brought me outside our house after the dinner. I was innocently playing with him when he suddenly grabbed my glasses and left me alone there. It was too dark and I can't see anything. I was like a total blind and it feels so terrifying. Then he started to make some weird and creepy sound that freak me out. I just cried nonstop after that. And as a child, it leaves me a great impact."
"Aw, poor little boy. You never deserve such treatment..." she stated as I just stared at the sky which filled with numbers of sparkling stars. We remained silent until she took away my glasses. "H-hey... what's that for?"
"To be honest, you're actually handsome without your spectacles..." she said that revived the butterflies in my stomach making me speechless. Meanwhile she giggled and murmured, "You're blushing!" She teased and I just can't take this longer...
"Stop already. Give them back..." I uttered but she didn't listen. Instead she just stands up and spoke, "Maybe later, I will... I want to reverse that trauma first."
Angel started singing and her voice is just so perfect to drive away all my negative thoughts. I didn't imagine that she really is good at singing. Of all those months passed, this is the first time I ever heard her sing and it feels like being in heaven. As I hold myself from falling asleep, I'm falling for her instead.
"Every time you'll miss me, just go out by the night time and take off your glasses. Then think of me being at your side staring at your beautiful eyes." She said after singing and gave my glasses back. Does she really like these defective eyes?
Somehow, she flattered me. I was really amazed how she successfully managed to make me smile, blush and feel better, but still I felt sad. "Yeah, maybe I'll start doing that on the day after tomorrow."
"You won't gonna miss me that quick..." she responded as she covered her sadness with a forced smile. "Not having you for a second is enough for me to miss you, baby..."
On the morrow, after we finished our breakfast, we have decided to explore the whole area of this place since this is our last day together and we want to cherish our remaining moments by exploring the margins of this dimension for as long as we can.
We brought Shadow and Snow with us as we wander around the area. We've passed by the gazebo she presented to me in the past months, walk through the field of strawberries, and even reached the river.
The water is so clear and since we're so thirsty due of tiredness, we decided to drink from it. Then we took a rest near the riverbank and let the cats wander around. I'm sitting while leaning in the big rounded rock and she's beside me resting her head on my shoulder.
I was closing my eyes while hearing the satisfying sound of the flowing waters of the river when she talked to me. "You know what, I'm totally a pleaser especially of other people. I tend to put satisfaction first rather than myself. But you just taught me how to take care of myself first, and how to become more responsible of myself. I just realized that I'm the only one who took away my freedom by being so hard at myself. Uhm, I just wanna say thank you..."
"No, you don't have to thank me..." I responded as I held her hand. "Let's continue exploring?" She asked and I answered, "Yeah. I'd like to." By that, I stand up and helped her up too. We gathered Shadow and Snow as we started our way off.
We followed the river and it delivered us to a beautiful small lake. This lake was hidden as it's covered with pine trees. At the edge of it, there stand the towering falls thus creating the view which is out of the world. Highlighted by a vivid colorful rainbow which reflected by the waters as it connects down to the fog that's covering the foot of the falls.
"I've never been to a place like this as I live my life..." Angel spoke as we both stared in awe at the marvelous waterfall with this beautiful lake that's having some aquatic lilies and hyacinths on it. "Me too, I'm glad to be in this place for the first time with you..."
We strayed around the lake until Angel decided to rest under a tree with Shadow and Snow lying over her lap. I took the chance to pluck some flowers of lilies and hyacinths from the lake. Then I hide them behind my back as I returned to where Angel is.
The moment I reached Angel, I kneel in front of her and caressed her face as I handed a bouquet of lilies and hyacinths to her. She smiled genuinely as she held the flowers and kissed me on my cheek. Oh, the feeling... I'm out of words...
Just then, we realized that we're staying there for a long moment so we decided to head off. We made sure that Shadow and Snow aren't left behind as we leave. I guess it's already 3pm in the afternoon so we don't have much time to explore farther.
As we continued walking, we set foot on the meadow full of tiny white blossoms. The place complement Angel with her gorgeous white dress. Butterflies are all over this area that made the view prettier.
Angel looked so happy while running around. Suddenly, she pulled me and we ran together as if freed playful children. Then we laid down on the grasses and laughed in the moment. We're having some chatters, when Angel gets up. She laid her hand and spoke, "Let's dance!"
She helped me up and as she held my both hands, I told her that "I'd like to but I don't know how to dance." But she replied, "Haven't you ever attended a prom in your high school?" With that, I held her hand and her waist as we danced slowly. I couldn't take away my eyes from hers by seeing forever in there. And as she turned around, she flashed in my vision as if she was my perfect bride.
After that transient lovely dance, I gave her another bouquet of white flowers. She really adored them as she mixed those in the previous bouquet. She looked at me smiling as she spoke, "Connor, you're the most special man I've ever met..."
And with that she grabbed me by the face and kissed me on the lips. In shocked, I managed close my eyes and responded to her kiss. I felt a sudden pain and didn't realized that tears continuously flowing out of my eyes. Oh please, I really can't let her go...
