"Let me get this straight. You're just telling us now that you had another pupil before us, and now his cursed spirit has possessed (name), all so that he can take your staff?" Jay deadpanned, giving his Sensei The look.

"Morro won't stop until he gets what he's after. There's a secret message engraved on it. All these years, I had no idea"

"Of course..." The blue ninja sighed before having a small giggling fit. "Just another day in Ninjago..."

"Guys!!"

"Lloyd!!" Everyone quickly run to the two kids, including Nya who activated the autopilot. Just before Lloyd was about to speak Cole locked him in a tight hug. "Thank goodness, you're okay!"

The lil green ninja returned the hug, then lightly pushed the teen away. Cole got the hint and let go, raising a brow in question. "I need that staff"

"Lemme guess, you're going to give it to Morro to get (name) back?" Kai asked, not liking this already. "This ain't gonna work"

"I can't just leave them! And you didn't let me finish. The staff you have is just a replica, a great one since it also has the symbols on it but, you know..." Drista's powers were really fucking impressive. He shook his head, focusing on the situation at hand, "Anyway, the Crafts have the original. You give me this one and go for the real one while I try to get rid of the fake so he can't... do whatever he wants to do" Wu was about to answer but the blond quickly cut him off, "Don't! It's better I don't know in case he wants to try and search my memories again"

"This could work. If Morro doesn't know there's a spare he wouldn't go after us" Zane commented while the black ninja cringed.

"I don't like this..."

"Please, I can't leave Zaza all alone. Especially since I started this whole thing..." Lloyd looked down sorrowfully, Kiko whimpered and pushed at his side.

Cole ruffled his hair with a small smile, "It's not your fault" The kid pulled away and shook his head, causing him to frown. He lightly pushed his head up with his fingers. "What if you get hurt? (name) would kill me! If they're not present, I'm responsible for you"

Lloyd huffed, crossed his arms and looked away, cheeks pink from all the affectionate talk. "I can take care of myself. Besides, I dealt with far worse. Please, Uncle Cole"

The black ninja thought for a moment, he looked at his team for consultation, his and Nya's eyes locked and she gave him a confident nod. He nodded back, looking at the kid and smiling. "Alright. Wu, hand him the staff" Lloyd's eyes sparkled and he smiled at the girl in a silent thanks. At the same time Wu looked down at the staff, hesitating, but ultimately he handed it to his nephew. "Take care of him, Fireball" Cole said, patting Kiko's head, the dragonling let out a soft, friendly growl.

Lloyd gave Cole a quick hug, then saluted to the others (Kiko following almost immediately), jumped on his 'brother's' back and zoomed away.

There was a moment of silence, nobody knowing what to say or do with themselves for a few seconds. Nya decided to put an end to this, "Should we inform Misako where we're going? We could use some help with deciphering that secret message"

"Good idea. Pixal, can you send for her?" Zane asked, looking a little crazy as he was technically talking to himself. Everyone else could guess the android girl did what she was asked by the nod of the white ninja.
