Hank offered his home to her to help her recover. She was going to decline, as her father's house had plenty of room for her, but when she saw the hopeful look in Connor's eyes she couldn't say no. She'd agreed to stay with them until she fully recovered, then she would go back to her own apartment, as Markus was in the process of relocating the handful of androids that were staying there. Hank had renovated the garage into another bedroom for Connor, making it suitable for a human to stay in as well. Clara stayed in this room with her partners carefully watching over her as she recovered.

Clara stood in front of the full length mirror in Hank's room. She ran her hands down her body, smoothing out wrinkles in her white button up and black skinny jeans. She leaned forward to double check her light make up and reached up to fix the diamond studs in her ears. She lifted her hair up in a ponytail fashion, then let it drop, not caring for how it looked.

"Who are you trying to look so good for?"

She turned towards the doorway to see Connor was leaning against the frame, arms crossed and watching her with an amused expression.

"Other than you?" She teased with a wink and air kiss. "Noone. It's just... I haven't been to the station since I got shot. I'm... nervous."

"Really? Reckless Manfred is nervous?"

"Oh shut up. Agh this stupid hair won't cooperate!"

"Let me try," Connor walked up behind her and combed his fingers through her hair, then deftly twisted it up into a high ponytail near the top of her head. He took the hair tie from Clara and looped her hair through it, keeping it where he wanted it.

"There!"

Clara moved her head back and forth as she admired Connor's work. "Nice!"

"Thank you," he replied. He placed his hands on her shoulders and leaned forward to kiss her on the cheek. "You look beautiful, my love."

She blushed bright red. "It's just what I would wear to work."

"That may be the case, but this was how you looked when I first met you. You were pretty then, and you're beautiful now."

"Ugh fucking gag me!" Hank exclaimed as he came into the room.

"I thought you said you found us cute, Hank?" Connor asked, his head tilted back towards the older man.

"Yeah, from a distance. Have some pity for us single folk."

"So you mean I shouldn't hang all over Connor like this?" Clara teased, grabbing Connor's arms and wrapping them tightly around herself, reaching up and kissing his cheek over and over. He lightly blushed at the affection.

"You're short circuiting your boyfriend."

She grinned and spun out of Connor's arms.

"Ah, whatever," the older man waved a hand at them. "You ready to go kiddo?"

"Yup," she responded

He patted his pockets and groaned. "Goddammit, where's my wallet?"

"I believe I saw it in the kitchen," Connor answered.

"Go get it for me, would ya?"

He raised an eyebrow. "Sure."

The minute he was out of the room, Clara whispered to Hank. "Did you order it?"

"Sure did," he responded with a thumbs up.

"Thank you!"

Connor came back into the room and handed the wallet to Hank, earning a thank you. The three headed for the door and into Hank's car.
