Mel regained composure as he stared at the boy in front of him.
"He's fighting a dragon," Mel said.
Mel couldn't stop Mikail from teleporting away. His eyes widened as he knew that he was going to be killed by Noril for letting Mikail go after him.
"He teleported, he knows space time magic, but I haven't taught him that," he thought.Back at the gate...
Noril glared at the Dragonoid in front of him. Jaheel smirked as he felt Mikail's presence getting closer.
"The mana is getting closer, perfect," he thought.
Noril powered his body with combat magic and charged at Jaheel. Jaheel easily dodged the oncoming attacks. The ground under Noril cracked as he continued. Jaheel caught the massive sword with his right claw. The knights looked shocked to see their commander's sword to be caught so quickly. Before Jaheel could grab Noril's neck, Mikail kicked him away from Noril, and he began rolling across the ground. Mikail's mana was overflowing.
"What do you think you're doing to my dad?" he shouted.
"Mikail, what the hell are you doing here? You can't be here; you need to get out of here; he's after you," Noril shouted.
"Dad, how did you get that scratch on your face," he asked.
Noril didn't realize, but when Jaheel grabbed his chin, his claw left a scratch on his face.
"Don't worry, I'm fine, but Mikail, your eyes, their gold," he said.
"Don't worry about it; they're like my mother's, probably an inherited trait," Mikail said as he held his hand up toward Jaheel.
"Who are you," Jaheel asked with a smirk.
Mikail remembers a description like Jaheel in the story.
"This guy is the prince of the Dragon kingdom. This bastard's the one who was after Mikail's magic and had feelings for him, but now I'm Mikail, so that means he's after my mana," he thought.
"Why do you want to know who I am? What do you want with a five-year-old," he asked while his mana darkened.
"Your mana," he said.
He charged at Mikail but stopped dead as he couldn't move in the mana aura Mikail was admitting. Mikail looked terrifying to the knights.
"You were trying to hurt someone dear to me, and you made my dad bleed. You must want to piss me off," Mikail said before making vines appear from the ground and grabbing him.
"I know he's been learning magic, but to use earth magic without chanting is," he thought.
"What the hell are you raising, Duke Noril, this monster? I'm a dragon, but his mana is way stronger than anything I will be able to accomplish," he shouted.
"My name is Mikail Gruz. Who are you," he asked while making the vines squeeze him tighter.
"I'm Jaheel Volie; you and your dad are alike; you both like to glare a lot," he said with a smirk.
Noril only stood there in shock of the situation.
"Mikail?"
The vines squeezed tighter, and Jaheel coughed up blood."Alright, kid, how about this? I promise I won't hurt you or your dad or anyone. Think you can let me go," he said while struggling.
Mikail's mana disappeared, and the vines released him. Mikail's eyes returned to his bright red color.
"You better keep to your word," he said as he flew over to Noril.
Noril looked at Mikail and hugged him.
"Don't do that again, please; if it was an actual threat, I don't know what I would do if something had happened to you," Noril said.
"Dad, I'm alright; also, that guy, he's the dragon, right? But he doesn't see that strong," Mikail asked.
"That's because you're a damn monster kid. How can such a cute small child be so deadly," Jaheel shouted.
"Well, you shouldn't have tried to hurt my dad, you idiot," he said.
"I'm sorry, I couldn't control myself well, and I suddenly transformed into a dragon. The next thing I knew, I was here. When our species senses a being with powerful mana, we're drawn toward it. Also, your dad is cute," Jaheel said before scratching his head.
"Dad, why is every guy after you," Mikail said while looking at his Dad.
"I don't know. Valen is a bit strange, but I don't understand the reason for that Dragon's feelings towards me."
"I've calmed down, so you think you can let me in your kingdom. I won't harm your people or little Mikail," he asked.
"What does the second dragon prince want with our kingdom?"
"Well, I was very interested in the magic power of this child, but seeing as this child can kill me, I don't want to remain or be seen as a hostile entity," He said.
Mikail pointed the pointer finger of his right hand up. A ball of mana appeared on the top of his finger.
"This mana sphere, you feel its energy, right?"
"Yeah, another reason I was seeking mana energy is because my half-brother injured me on my left side," he said as he revealed his non-healing side.
"Wait, you were fighting us while injured; how are you so strong," Noril shouted.
"I guess my body was craving mana, so I went into a feral mindset," he said while closing his clothes.
"If I give you some mana, do you promise to protect this kingdom and never threaten the safety of the inhabitants," Mikail asked.
Jaheel kneeled to the ground.
"I pledge my loyalty to Mikail Gruz and an oath to protect all he holds dear and to kill anyone he wants me to. If I break this promise to remain loyal in all-time serving you, I will forfeit my life and what's important to me; please accept my loyalty, Youngest of the Gruz household, Mikail Gruz," Jaheel asked before a magic circle appeared.
Mikail put his finger on Jaheel's forehead.
"I accept your oath."
A surge of mana ran through Jaheel. Jaheel's left aside was completely healed, and mana surrounded his body.
"Just part of his mana made me feel like this," Jaheel thought as he felt no pain in side and looked at his hands.
"Master, I appreciate you accepting me," he said while bowing his head.
"Remember your oath, if you break it, I will show you no mercy," he said.
"Yes, Master."
A week passed since the dragon incident, and Mikail's coordination with the sword grew exponentially. Mikail was keeping up with Valen without any mana involved. Valen smirked."Alright, Mikail, it's time to get serious once again," he said as his body was covered in mana.
Mikail's eyes glowed red as his body became covered in his mixture of mana. Mikail held his wooden sword and charged at Valen. Valen smirked as he revealed a second wooden sword.
"You see, I'm a dual-sword wielder. When I hold two swords, that means I'm slightly more serious than before, Mikail," he said, blocking his attack with both swords.
Mikail was kicked back and rolled across the ground.
"What's wrong? What happened," Valen asked in a mocking tone with a smirk.
"You're a 6-foot adult male mocking a 5-year-old child way smaller than half your size," Mikail said bluntly.
Mikail got up and brushed himself off. Valen laughed and this only fueled Mikail's mana. He glared as mana surrounded him.
"No Mikail, you're not allowed to use your mana or your mana sphere. I heard how powerful it was, and it won't help your swordsmanship to rely on it. There are situation where magic can be nullified or even stopped completely," he said as he aimed a sword at Mikail.
Mikail sighed as he released it.
"Asshole," he muttered.
"Come on, Mikail."
Mikail looked at him and charged once again. Mikail's movements became faster as Valen parried more of his attacks easily, with a left and right motion.
"Come on, Mikail, you can try harder than that," he shouted with a huge smirk before blocking again with his sword.
"You're so frustrating," Mikail shouted angrily before backing away and running around him.
Valen braced for impact of Mikail's attack. Valen saw Mikail's feet as he began stepping in a rhythmic and harmonious movement. Mikail's eyes glistened red in the sunlight. Valen felt shock.
"This child, he's going to terrify many, but he's already so in-depth to his surroundings, Mikail, what are you," he thought.
Mikail soon charged so fast that it barely gave Valen time to blink. He blocked his back from Mikail's sword with his right sword with out looking the direction. Mikail instantly circled around him and put his sword to his neck.
"Nice going kid, but look down," he said as he had his left sword pointed at his stomach.
"You have two swords so it's tied."
