"Prince Aslan, Prince Mikail, please calm down," Renold shouted.
After a while...
Mikail was reading a book and Aslan had fallen asleep. His head was on Mikail's lap.
"Thank god he's calm down,"  Mikail and Renold thought.
"Although, why did he fall asleep on my lap," Mikail thought.
"I wonder what Prince Julian and Dad are talking about," Mikail said.
"Hmmm, they might be talking about you,"Renold said.
"Talking about me."
Aslan grabbed Mikail's shirt in his sleep.
"Prince Aslan seems to have taken quite the liking towards you," Renold said with a smile.
"I guess it's a good thing. But do we have any other books than these children books," Mikail asked.
"What kind of book were you looking for?"
"I want books on magic or an encyclopedia of magical creatures," Mikail said while placing the book down.
"Hmm, then, why not check the Duke's library?"
"Dad's library?"
"Yeah, he has many encyclopedias and magic books for beginners magic."
Mikail's expression softened into curiosity.
"So cute," Renold thought.
"Well, I'll be back."
"Okay."
Renold walked out of the room and called Kastil who was standing guard outside of it.
"What's wrong, Renold?"
"Can you please watch them?  I'm going to the Duke's library to grab some books for the young highness," Renold asked.
"Sure, those kids are pretty different from other kids," Kastil said with a smile.
After Renold left for the library, Kastil walked inside.
"What happened to Renold?"
"He went out for a bit. So, Prince Aslan tuckered himself out?"
"Aren't you the guard for my father? Why are you here guarding me," Mikail asked with a blank look.
"Well, His Majesty Duke Gruz asked me to guard you and Prince Aslan, while he speaks with Prince Julian. When you arrived at your room, I stood guard at the outside of it."
"Do you know any magic, um, sir Knight," Mikail asked.
"I do, also. My name is Lord Kastil Ridenger. I'm a knight of the Duke's army," He said.
Mikail sighed.
"So what kind of magic can you do, Kastil?"
Kastil suddenly saw an image of Kalian, Noril's brother, flash in his head.
"He looks very close to Kalian. We were all children, and Kalian always wore his long hair in a ponytail. Although, before he eloped with his lover, we did see her once. She had rare, beautiful white hair. Mikail has the same color hair. Could it be that Mikail is, Kalian's son," Kastil thought.
"You seem to be in deep thought, Kastil," Mikail said.
"Well, I was just thinking about something. Say, do you remember anything about your parents by chance?"
"No, but the baroness did mention that my family passed away. She said that my mother had the same cursed hair color I have."
"I knew it; Mikail is Kalian's boy. Kalian had a son uncovered for five years. How amazing, Kalian, I hope you're at peace. You were an amazing magician and skilled swordsman," he thought.
"Mikail...I'm hungry,* Aslan mumbled as he began waking up.
He suddenly saw where he lying. His face turned red.
"I'm sorry, Mikail," he shouted as he quickly sat up.
Mikail tilted his head in confusion.
"What do you mean," Mikail asked.
"He's not a girl. Why am I so flustered? Is it because he's adorable," Aslan thought.
"I mean, it must have been uncomfortable for me to lay on your lap," Aslan said as he looked away.
"Honestly, it felt warm, almost like a cat," Mikail said.
"A cat, you don't feel any embarrassment at all," Aslan shouted.
"Not really."
"You're lucky you're cute."
Mikail sighed. Suddenly, they heard a knock on the door. Ray and Wilhelm opened the double door.
"Brother Ray, Brother Wilhelm. What brings you two here?"
"Well, Dad asked me to  bring you and Prince Aslan to the dining room for dinner."
"Okay," Mikail said as he had an emotionless expression.
Aslan smiled.
"Mikail, I want to sit next to you at dinner," Aslan said.
"Sure," Mikail said with a confused expression.
"So cute," Aslan thought with a smile.
"What? Mikail agreed," Ray and Wilhelm thought.
Suddenly Ray and Wilhelm looked pissed. Ray immediately picked up Mikail and glared at Aslan. Mikail was confused.
"Let's go, Mikail," Ray said with a smile.
"Sure."
"Hmmm, it seems like Prince Ray and Prince Wilhelm are very protective of Mikail even if it's the Second Prince of the Empire," Kastil thought while smiling.
Ray carried Mikail to the dining room, and everyone followed him. Mikail sighed. Noril was there with Prince Julian.
"Why is it that you guys carry me everywhere? I'm not a baby," Mikail asked.
"Because you need to gain weight. You're too skinny," Wilhelm shouted.
"If I grow muscle, I can gain weight."
"But at this time, your body is still malnourished. You may get sick more often due to your body's condition. So if you want to avoid being carried around, eat more food," Noril said.
"I already told you I can't eat too much food, considering how I've been starving for the last two weeks. I could die," Mikail said.
"He's right, Duke Gruz. I've seen this happen to young children who were in captivity. We rescued many from slave auctions. When someone is starved for so long, it can create problems later on in life if you suddenly feed them a table of food. They can die from shock and illness. So for a while, you should continue to feed little Mikail small amounts of soft food until his body is better," Julian said.
"At least there is someone smart in this empire. Julian was a genius in the novel. He was popular with women and children. Many men envied his talent," Mikail thought.
Ray put Mikail in one of the chairs and sat beside him. Aslan hurried and sat next to Mikail's left.
"I get to sit next to Mikail," Aslan smiled.
Wilhelm and Noril looked angry.
"I wanted to sit next to him," they thought.
Julian, Noril, and Wilhelm sat down at the table. Julian was across from Aslan, and Wilhelm sat to Julian's left. Noril sat at the head of the table.
"So Mikail, are you and Aslan getting along," Julian asked.
"Yes."
"Yeah, Mikail is cute. Brother, can I marry Mikail when I'm older," Aslan asked.

Suddenly, the sound of glass cracking—Noril's glass of wine cracks. Everyone's head turned towards the sound. Noril looked unhappy.

"Dad," Mikail said while he looked confused.

"Hey, Duke Gruz, are you alright," Julian asked.

A maid cleaned up the red wine splattered on the table and took the glass away.

"Dad looks pissed," Ray and Wilhelm thought.

Suddenly, Noril got up from the table. He walked over to Mikail and picked him up. He walked him and Mikail back to his seat and sat with him in his lap. He glared at Aslan.

"Dad, why are you glaring at a child," Mikail asked.
"Because he's trying to take you away from me," Noril said.
"Aslan, Mikail is cute, but he's a boy," Julian said.
"I don't care; Mikail is adorable."
"It's impossible, please give up," Noril said.
Aslan pouted.
"I won't give up, Mikail will marry me," Aslan thought.
After dinner...
Mikail yawned as he was still sitting in Noril's lap.
"I'm getting tired again," Mikail thought.
He rubbed his eyes.
"So cute," Ray thought.
"Looks like you're getting tired, Mikail," Noril said as he patted his head.
"I am."
"Then, let's head to your room. Renold, please escort Prince Julian and Prince Aslan to the guest rooms. Kastil, come with me," Noril commanded.
"Yes sir," Kastil said.
As Noril carried Mikail to his room, Mikail fell asleep in his arms. A maid changed Mikail out of his clothes to his pajamas. Mikail was tucked into his bed and only Noril was at his side. Noril looked tired as well. He pulled his tie off. He snapped his fingers and his clothes changed to a white silk robe over a buttoned down black pajama shirt and pants.
"Last night was the first time I didn't have any nightmares. I was able to sleep very easily," Noril thought.
Noril laid beside him as the light in the room went out. He fell asleep on the bed as soon as his face hit the pillow.
"Kalian," Noril mumbled in his sleep.
