Chapter Twelve

The next morning I woke up to Raven on the phone. 

"I have a date with Vin today, it's almost noon wake up!"

She said turning and talking to me.

"sorry, I was tired. What times your date? "

"2:00" 

" Raven Chill, we got a whole hour." 

" but-" 

" raven can I eat first? "

I laughed.

"Yeah, sure."

I walked down stairs and started cooking waffles. I got out a plate and maple syrup. The toaster popped and I jumped. I hate that freaking thing. I took them out and put them on my plate. I took the syrup and put some on them. I walked to my table and sat down. Raven came down. I took my phone off of the counter and looked to see if Madison texted me. Nope, not even a hello. I frowned and put my phone in my bra. She sat down at the table. I looked at her. She was looking at me. 

" yes? "

"hurry up!"

"I just sat down! "

"please?"

I took a bite and ate it as fast as I could. I did the same with the other bites. I finished my waffles and I drank my orange juice. I put my dishes out and she dragged me up stairs. I pulled out a black tank-top, a pink crop top, a pair of skinny jeans, socks, and my tan uggs. She got dressed. I smiled at her. 

"you look great." 

I said turning on my straightener. I straightened her hair and put a little makeup on her. I put my heart necklace on her. I sprayed my perfume on her and she was ready to go. I looked at her and smiled. She insisted that she put eyeliner on when she didn't need it. She was ready to go and it was 1:30.. I checked my phone and he still hasn't texted me.

"What's wrong?"

She said fixing her hair. 

"He asked me out last night.."

She froze and looked at me.

"AND?!"

"I said yeah, but he's not even texting me back."

"He will"

The doorbell rang and she ran down to answer it

"Shannon, I'm leaving!"

"Okay, be careful. Have fun."

"will do."

They left. I watched them drive away through my bedroom window. I got up and walked to my balcony. I looked out to his room and saw him playing x-box. I texted him. 

Sent:

hey.

He picked up his phone and paused his game. 

Received:

Madison:  hey, what's up?

Sent:

bored, you?

Received:

Madison: same haha, my mom's on my case about getting packed for LA. R U packed?

Sent:

nope.

Received:

Madison: well, come over if you want, I'm in my room. just knock 

Sent: 

ok

 I got up and got dressed in joggers and a v-neck. I put on my sneakers and a hoodie and grabbed my phone. I left my house and knocked on Madison's front door.

*Raven's point of view*

We left Shannon's house and drove off. I kept asking him were we were going but he kept saying you'll see. We were driving for an hour now. We were on the highway. I kept seeing signs for the beach and all. I sighed and he handed me a blindfold. 

"Put this on."

"why?"

"just do it" 

I sighed and put it around my forehead and tied it tight. The car stopped. I heard him get out of the car and my door open. He took my hand and helped me out. He held my waist and guided me were to walk. He stopped me. He took off my blindfold and I seen a table for two set up on the beach. Aw!!! Vin!!! He pulled out a chair and waited for me to sit in it. I sat down and he pushed in the chair. He sat down. His mom came over with fresh pizza. 

"I didn't know what else you would like so I picked pizza. "

Well this is going to be the best pizza I have ever had!! She put down the plates and he started eating. As did I. I took a bite and tasted the crispy crust. It was cheesy. The sauce was freshly made. She gave us waters too. We finished our pizza and started walking up and down the beach. 

"Want to go on the boardwalk?"

"Vin, it's winter. There not open."

"Yeah but, you never know."

He said leading me towards the boardwalk. We got on the boardwalk and most of the shops were open. I looked at him. 

"I know a guy. "

I laughed. We went into one and he started playing the crane machine. He put in a dollar and went to win a blue giraffe. He won it and gave it to me. Aw. We walked around more and took funny pictures on our phones. We went back to the beach at sunset. He gave his mom his phone and told her to take pictures. We walked hand-in-hand towards the water. I stopped before we even got close because I was wearing Shannon's uggs. She would kill me if the got wet. The sunset was perfect. We walked back to the shore and went home. Today was amazing! I fell asleep in the car on the way home. I guess I'm sleeping over his house tonight. 

*Shannon's P.O.V*

I've been sitting on his bed just watching him play X-box for the past half hour, not even word was said. Not even a hello.

"Why am I here Madison?"

He paused his game and looked back at me. 

"I mean, you don't have to be here."

He laughed and I sighed. 

"You make literally, make no fucking sense."

"What?"

"You ask me to be your girlfriend last night, and now you can't say one word to me. I don't get you."

"I thought you were joking to fuck with my head when you said yeah."

"Well, I wasn't."

"Sorry."

I sighed and laid back on his bed. He turned his game back on and continued playing. I grabbed his tablet and went on Netflix. 

"I'm ordering Chinese, want anything?"

I asked as I pulled my phone out.

"Peppered steak and white rice."

I dialed the number and ordered our food. Our food came and he ate while he played his game and I ate while I watched a movie. 

About twenty minutes into my movie he got up and left the room. I didn't pay any mind to it until he came back in fifteen minutes later shirtless, hair wet, and nothing but a towel on. I smirked and continued my movie as he got dressed in the closet. I laid back and my eyes became heavier by the second.
