A school as prestigious as Dawn High wasn't an easy theatre school to get into, Ophelia Avenell knew that, but she signed up nevertheless and luckily enough, she was accepted. Now she stands in front of the rusty gates of Dawn High, standing shoulder to shoulder with her best friend of ten years, Rosemary Monroe, they've shared the dream of acting since they were eight years old, and both girls being accepted into a wonderful college like Dawn High was like finding a four-leaf clover blind.
Ophelia and Rosemary walked inside the gates, staring in awe at the architecture of the old building. Ophelia opened the double doors towards the main entrance of the school, a receptionist already in sight, typing busily at a computer. She looked up boredly at Ophelia, then to Rosemary, then back at her computer.
"Names?" The lady asked the girls, eyes still on her computer.
"Rosemary Monroe and Ophelia Avenell." Rosemary answered for both.
Between the two, Rosemary was most definitely the talker. Rosemary's easy and outgoing nature attracted lots, and though it would've been easy for Rosemary to drop Ophelia, considering the many other friends Rosemary had, she oddly didn't. And Ophelia was thankful for that, because unlike Rosemary, Ophelia had a difficult time finding friends.
"Room five, floor three, that way please." The receptionist lady said, pointing to a lavish staircase to the right.
"Thank you." Rosemary said in a polite voice while smiling.
Rosemary dragged her suitcase, Ophelia following. Truthfully speaking, Ophelia didn't hear a single word the lady said to them between that period. So, she was glad Rosemary knew where she was going. They walked through hallways and up staircases until Rosemary stopped abruptly, Ophelia almost crashing into her, in front of a room with the sign 'Room V' on the door, room five.
Rosemary swiped the room card the receptionist gave her, probably when Ophelia wasn't paying attention because she had no recollection of a card being given, and the door creaked open. They both walked in the room, and they saw a hotel-like room inside, a living room was the first thing you'd most likely notice, then a kitchen to the left, and two doors next to where the TV is. Ophelia walked in one of the two rooms, and there were two beds, a closet, a study desk and chair, and a bathroom connected to the bathroom.
"Guess this is where we'll be staying for the next four years." Rosemary said.
Ophelia nodded, that would mean the other room would be for the other two students that she and Rosemary would share a living room and kitchen with. Rosemary walked around the somewhat big room, opening curtains as she was doing so. While Ophelia was unpacking her stuff and trying to settle in. Ever since she was told that she was accepted in the school, she had been extremely nervous being far from her family. She wasn't exactly close to her parents, but her sister, however, was like her other half, and leaving her was the last thing Ophelia wanted to do. But an opportunity like this was too valuable to go to waste.
Ophelia's thoughts were interrupted by a sudden crash that sounded like it was from the hallway, Rosemary scrambled to the main entrance of the room, Ophelia on her heels, and they saw two boys tangled in each other on the floor by the door.
