Eva
This summer went by so fast, I cant even remember half of it. I haven't had this much fun in years, Robin and Nett made me feel welcomed the whole time. We became like a mini family.
They showed me all their favorite spots around the city. And from that I learned Robins loves this boba/cat cafe which she never really orders anything from only studies there, She claims the cats energies are really calming to be around.
Netts go to is an underground thrift shop. It hoards a lot of vintage items of luxury brands like Chanel, Prada and Dior. Which is confusing because I though thrift shops were supposed to be affordable. But to that Annette just told me not to question it when its 10% off the original price because, 'a deals a deal'.
Apparently she spends hours here, so if shes ever not answering her phone I wont assume shes doing homework but rather trying to find the newest bag to add to her collection.
"I need to level up my closet game before I get famous. I cant have people calling my street style anything less than Iconic, inspiration or throwback to the early 2000s." I have to admit her dedication is inspirational.
After all of that I of course made them take me to times square claiming I needed the full 'New York experience'. We spent half the time there listening to a guy rap about why we should give him money, it was compelling so I gave him five bucks which Robin and Nett quickly told me to never do again unless it was really worth my time, and even then keep my money.
Most parts of the summer was just us getting to know each other a bit more. I learned Robins pansexual but she doesn't intend on being committed to anyone just yet. "I just don't see the need to add another person into my life at this point in time, you know."
Me and Nett nodded in understanding even though Netts in her MEN only era, but of course they come after her career.
I also learned that Annette has gotten major roles in our schools play including playing the main Heather in Heather the musical. which isn't surprising considering she has an amazing voice, which sucks since she only focuses on acting.
After this summer we've grown more than just roommates their like my sisters now. Thinking of sisters reminds me of my actual one, whose been calling and texting non stop including Brianna and Jonah whose messages I don't even bother to read. And my father whose made it very clear I have disappointed him, and once again embarrassed our entire family.
I couldn't help but choke out a thick and painful laugh, not only did he not care to ask if I was okay but he spent his time once again belittling and pointing the finger at me.
He'll never change.
I went to block all of their numbers not needing the memory of a past life. My finger hesitated for a fraction of a second over the block button to my sisters contact. Even after everything she always stuck by me, but shes there and I'm here. Maybe one day I'll see her again, but for now I need to make something of myself without being in her shadow.
*contact blocked*
First day of classes and I have a mix of excitement and fear. Fear of failure.
I took a ride with Robin to school since we both have a class at 9am on sundays.
"Have a good first day, you know where you're headed right?" Robin asks unbuckling her seat belt.
"Yeah I toured my classes before hand remember. I shouldn't get lost." I say faking the confidence in my voice. I still seem to get lost on my way to the dining hall.
"Okay, just text me if you need anything."
"kay, Love ya!" I say blowing a kiss to her.
"Bye E." She says laughing as she catches my imaginary kiss pulling it to her chest. I smile to myself as we walk opposite ways.
