"Please tell me you don't actually listen to this song in a regular basis." Isabelle asked Butcher.

"I don't, it is just what the radio station plays." he replied as he reached over and fiddled with the radio station, skipping song after song before landing on a radio station that was playing a song from the Smiths.

Isabelle smiled softly as she began to look out the window, admiring how the buildings became more sparse as they drove towards the forests located in outskirts of New York,  "I love this song," she admitted before adding, "Me and my friends used to play this song all the time."

Butcher hummed with acknowledgement, "You and your friends have good taste, I like this song too."

"Really?" she questioned.

"Really." Butcher replied before he turned his head over to her.

Isabelle noticing his movement out of the corner of her eye, causing her to turn her head as well. The pair looked at each other before bursting out laughing.

"What's so funny?" Butcher asked in between chuckles.

"I'm laughing because you are laughing," Isabelle reached over and nudged him with her shoulder as her giggles died down.

"I bet there is another reason why and you just don't wanna tell me."

Isabelle shook her head, "I promise there is no other reason." She insisted.

The banter continued between the two, Soldier Boy watching from the backseat as he watched Isabelle laugh at whatever the hell Butcher was saying.

'Butcher isn't even saying anything funny, I don't even know why she is laughing like that.' Soldier Boy thought to himself as he sunk deeper into the seat.

He continued staring at the two, his eyes lingering more on Isabelle than on Butcher, he watched how her eyes would squint ever-so-slightly as she smiled and how she would look at him as he spoke, these little things that he hardly got to see when he was with her.

His chest grew tighter as he continued watching the two interact, their conversation flowing with ease as if they had known each other for ages. He chewed the inside of his cheek as he had to force himself to look away knowing full well the consequences if he had lost control of emotions. He looked outside the window, desperately wanting to get out of this car.

And his prays were answered when eventually when the car pulled into a small clearing within the forest, and he hastily hauled himself out of the car. He took the opportunity to take in his surroundings, there was nothing but trees for miles and the occasional sound of a bird chirping in the distance. He took a deep breath of the fresh air, no more city smog filling his nose, he than exhaled and turned around to see Butcher helping Isabelle out of the car.
