"AHHHH you did so freakin good!" Rachel screamed through the phone while I drank tea and read over some lyrics at the bar in my kitchen. We'd usually FaceTime during my mornings and her evenings. We just sat and talked about anything. Both sipping our teas and swapping stories of our days and plans for the next.
"Thank youuuu, but I'm in desperate need for input on this song so.." A raised an eyebrow at her and her eyes lit up.
"Over the phone karaoke!" She shouted. She named us going over music on the phone as phone karaoke. Original? No. But funny? Yes.
We went back in forth with melody ideas, chorus tempos, and soon we'd perfected two songs for my album in under two hours. I of course asked each to feature on one of the songs and she said yes. It only makes sense since she helped on so much and I would be lost without her.
We got off the phone when Rachel had started drifting off. I told Josh, who had joined our conversation earlier, to get her to bed. I tried to focus on my other songs for the album but not much improvement happened. Just me humming a slow melody to try and figure out how to layout the lyrics. But my brain wasn't focusing well, so I decided to go for a walk.

I finished up my walk and slumped onto my couch. Hunter said she'd FaceTime me once she got done with her intense 'nightly skincare routine' that if she didn't do would 'totally destroy her skin and she'd die!' I thought it was completely bonkers, sure I have a skincare routine just not as intense as hers. She had like twelve steps that took over thirty minutes. Mine was simple, cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and eye cream. Sunscreen during the day obviously, and a face mask every Saturday.
