The kiss was different from the time when Gregory nipped at my ear. This one was passionate, and I knew it wasn't that he lost self-control. I, of course, didn't even know what to do, since I wasn't a very experienced kisser.
He kept pressing his icy lips to mine, not even realizing how I needed to breathe. I think it was when he heard my heart slow when he tore himself from me.
I panted, closing my eyes. I could almost hear Gregory smiling.
"So, did you enjoy that?" he asked smoothly.
I peeked my eyes open. He was grinning slyly. Instead of answering with words, I curled up into his arms.
He seemed to take that as a yes, because he pressed his lips to mine, again. This time he was more forceful, and it scared me slightly. I pulled back, staring at him with widened eyes.
He wiped his mouth, and a hungry lust came over his eyes. Gregory seized my arms, and his fingers clamped over my arms. I managed a tiny squeak.
"Gregory! Stop it!" I whispered, trying to get him to come to his senses.
He finally did, and he looked down at me to see he was holding me tightly. Immediately, his grip slackened and he tore away from me, terror etched across his pale face.
"Elizabeth! Are you alright?" he asked me, worried.
I pursed my lips, but nothing came out. He hugged me gently.
"I'm so sorry! I-I lost control...again," he admitted, looking ashamed.
I took Gregory's hand in mine, and ran my thin fingers over his cold ones. "Greg, don't worry. I'm okay," I assured him, although my voice was breaking and crackly.
He gave a nervous chuckle, and I pulled his face into my hands. "Listen to me. Don't say you're a monster, because I know you aren't. I love you."
He looked into my eyes. "I love you too." And he kissed me again, this time gentler, and I suspected he didn't want to hurt me again. But, I still loved the feeling of it.
