Red, blue, purple, pink, lavender, white. That should be enough for capturing the scenic beauty possessed by the bunch of Rose of Sharon or mugunghwa, maybe a little bit of green and brown for the stems and leaves. But why indigo?

The artist's helper thought to himself. It's been few months since he has started working for the famous painter, Kim Namjoon. In literal sense, no one really knows the artist, but his work is very famous across the country as the paintings are sold under the label of the agency that he has signed contract with.

"Jungkook, did you get the paint I asked for?"
"Namjoon hyung, I got some samples. Can you please confirm which shade you need?"
He placed the tiny sample bottle of oil colours on the table. Namjoon picked up each bottle and inspected the shade with his big black framed glasses on. After studying the shades for about half an hour, he placed the last bottle on the table.

"None of these would work. I need the proper indigo shade."
"Hyung, shall I dare to ask something?"

Jungkook was respectful of the artist but he was getting on his nerves now, neither of the 56 shades was good for the painting of a flower which doesn't even have the indigo colour in it.

"Sure, shoot."
"Why do you need indigo for painting Rose of Sharon?"
Namjoon pressed his lips to form a mere smile as if Jungkook asked something funny.

"I need to give the flower petals some detail work. When you hold a half bloomed mugunghwa under the sunlight, you will notice a mix of different colours on the edge of the petals which are folded against each other. Indigo is the one that can unleash that intricacy."

Jungkook's head started spinning at the explanation as he was only aware of using the colours visible to bare eyes. He was a fourth year art student who was doing this internship for some pocket money. He cannot deny how much he admires the work of Kim Namjoon, but getting to know the person so close, was kind of putting his admiration on test. How can a person be this picky and particular?

"Okay! From whom did you get the inspiration for putting this much attention to the detail, hyung?" The question was actually out of silent anger.
"You heard of Yun Hyong-keun?"
"Studies about him. Is he your inspiration?"
"He's my idol, inspiration is something different."
"So what about him?"
"That man gave his entire life to art, even during his days of hardship. His most famous work is Umber Blue where he painted the horizon of the earth and sky by painting just two pillars divided by an unpainted patch."

Jungkook was not that much interested at first, but the meticulous zeal of Namjoon in describing his idol's work drew his attention. He was very passionate about his work.

So I have to figure out how to get the perfect indigo shade for him! Uughhhh!!
