I didn't know if I was even breathing anymore. Every time I saw her I felt myself drawn towards her more than ever. She walked towards us with confident steps, her gaze fixed on us. What must she be thinking after seeing me here? Was she disappointed? I tried not to look at her or her cold expression that she would always wear in public. She was still in her office attire and I wondered if she ever took a break from work.
Besides me, Jihoon stiffened on his seat, his body tensed as he looked down at his lap. Miss Lee's eyes were solely on his shaking figure as she approached us. There were only five chairs in the room so the lawyer stood up from his chair and like a gentleman offered her a seat.
“Care to tell me what you guys did to make me come to a police station”? She raised her brow at Mr. Kim, then her eyes landed on her younger brother “and you, didn't I tell you to stay at home and is that blood on your face”?
“Noona I” Jihoon licked his lips “I was getting bored at home so I decided to come along with hyung. I swear I didn't do anything” He whispered in a small whisper.
“I have already submitted the papers and have decided to sue them” The lawyer spoke, he leaned his body against the table.
Miss Lee sighed, bringing her hands to her face.
“What about the CCTV footage?” she asked the lawyer.
“The manager deleted it” The lawyer said, rubbing his forehead with his long fingers.
“Do whatever you have to but I want the CCTV footage and Taehyung” she fixed her stare on Mr. Kim who forced himself to look towards her “you better fix this problem before I do it myself”.
Mr. Kim didn't say anything but I just knew he had fucked up whatever it was.
The door opened again, and the same officer came in. “You may go now” he said to us “but you need to pay for the damage”.
Mr. Kim scoffed and stood up from the chair, he fixed his blazer and stared at the officer “Tell me where they are? I need to talk to them” he asked the officer.
“Taehyung, just go and wait in the car. And take Jihoon with you” she gritted her teeth and I felt Jihoon trembling beside me.
“I'm sorry Noona,” he whispered gently and got up from the seat, following Mr. Kim behind.
Taesung lifted his head to watch him go.
“Mr. Jeon you are also free to leave along with your friend” The officer said and I looked up at him, my brows furrowed in confusion. But then it hit me. I made a mistake to lock my eyes with her but found her already looking at me. Did she do that?
