POV Pete

A lot happened, Porsche had been locked up, then beat me to escape, and ran away with Vegas. Khun Kinn was pissed because his plan to keep Porsche out of it had been ruined when Khun Vegas had come for him first. So naturally as Khun Kinn's point man for all things Khun Vegas related I was ordered to find our mole once and for all.

It was basically a suicide mission. I knew that the moment I agreed to take it. But I'd already given my life to this family, if I died protecting it from whatever Khun Vegas may have planned then I would have done my duty.

The plan was relatively simple. Having been to the minor family compound before I knew my way around and I knew that their security was barely existent. Getting in wouldn't be the problem, getting out was when everything would go to shit.

I decided to go in with classic style. I delivered a package. I wore a mask so that no one would recognize me and dressed in a bright orange jumpsuit. It was far easier than I even thought. The man at the door barely gave me a second glance and it took no time at all for me to drop off the large package I was delivering inconspicuously and make my way up to the top floor.

Having seen Khun Vegas fiddling with the phone on my last trip I checked it thoroughly and found what I needed to find. I then brought out something Arm had given me to hack into it with and once I found the correct number and punched it in. A soft click comes from one of the heavy wooden doors that was just behind me on the right wall.

The door creaked softly open so I untangled my hacking mechanism and walked stealthily to the door. Once inside I gently closed the door and took in the room.

It was not what I expected. There were chains dangling from the ceilings and even though the sunlight came through three long thin windows on one side of the room the entire area was bathed in a rich dark red light.

There were a disturbing amount of cuffs tied to the chains and as I took a closer look at a small table by the entrance I picked up a leather belt with a heavy circular object in the middle of it.

"Shit, what the fuck?" I whisper as I gingerly put the odd device back onto the table it had come from. Then finally noticing the computer that was stashed on the far side of the room next to the windows I hurried over and sat in the chair in front of it and instead the USB stick that Arm had also given me.

The device worked like a charm and I was able to easily begin to transmit the files that were on the computer. Once I was sure of the download in progress I grabbed my phone and made my report to Khun Kinn. After promising that I would tell Arm to grab Khun Vegas's whereabouts by locating his phone, Khuh Kinn hung up saying that he would put an end to the whole show.

After hanging up I dug into a few more files. So engrossed was I in looking at the screen that I didn't hear anyone approach me until I heard the telltale click of a readied weapon. I looked up slowly from the screen. The thoughts in my head which should have been afraid or racing around to look for a way out never fired off. I simply raise my hands in surrender.

The person standing in front of me was not who I expected to see. My lips curl in a sneer as I see no other than Ken staring back at me. "So it's you." I growl at him angrily. He's the one who has been betraying us this whole time. Some part of me thinks I should have seen it coming, but I honestly didn't think much of Ken in general. I lament that I won't be able to relay this information to Khun Kinn, but I had no way out anymore.

Ken quickly disconnects the USB and I watch the screen go dead. "Phone." Ken prompts and I hand it over without a fuss. Now that I was caught I knew there was no way I was getting out of here. There were too many people. I was a dead man. Ken destroys the phone then gestures for me to stand up and move away from the computer. I do, and he stays far enough away that I can't even attempt to take his weapon from him. He points toward the door and I start to walk toward it with him following behind me. After three steps something slams into the back of my head and my world goes dark.

When I wake up I see a mixture of emerald green and bright red light. The air is foul with a heavy stench of blood. I feel rope biting into my wrists and my bare back rubs against the scratchy concrete of the pillar I am shackled to.

POV Vegas

Of course the plan had gone to shit, all because Tawan had involved Porchay and therefore Kim, the only one of my cousins that actually has a fucking brain cell. I knew the moment we got to the house and Porchay was gone that this plan was going to go sideways.

I breathe heavily as I run down the road away from the warehouse where the firefight was still taking place.

Kim had come in guns blazing along with a few of the main family bodyguards. There was no going back now. Porsche was still alive and free, thankfully I'd taken care of Tawan while I'd had the chance. I'd made him far more deranged then even I realized. Marriage? Fucking hell.

I was still the reason Porsche drew breath though. I hesitated to kill him. I know I did. I killed without blinking when it was necessary just like I had with Big Wang. But when I looked at Porsche I hesitated. It wasn't long, but I'd lost the chance to take what Kinn loved away from him and I hated it.

I turn down a side street and duck behind the large amount of scrap that was heaped around. Fucking hell! I yell at myself and then slam my fist against the stone of the wall behind me, over and over and over again, until I can feel the blood dripping from my knuckles.

It was over, the whole game, everything that I had planned. Someone had to have tipped the main family off. I don't know who, Kinn isn't smart enough to have figured out what I've been up to all this time. Oh I'm sure he was suspicious he always is, but I doubt he has a clue about the Italians or the Yakuza. Bastard is too busy fucking his boyfriend to pay attention to anything else around him.

Uncle Korn is probably the one who noticed it. Had to be, Kinn was an oblivious asshole who had no business running any of this shit. Yeah he could play the part when he needed to but the bastard was weak, he always had been. His father sheltering from all of the bloody carnage and made him believe that he operated at some higher capacity. You honestly think he would have let him go after Big Wang like I did? No even if he'd been fucking able to it still would have come down to the minor family to deal with the mess they had fucking made.

I yell out in a rage as I thrash into the scrap around me tossing shit and ramming feet into anything within distance. I was going to make them pay, for everything, for all of it, for whatever I wanted to.

Then my phone rings. The noise quiets my movement and I breath heavily for a few seconds before I pull the device out of my pocket and answer the call. "What?" I growl.

The voice of my spy filters into my ear. "I found a rat in the house? Do you want me to take care of it or do you want to?"

Just fucking kill him is my first instinct, but then I stop myself. No, this had to be the bastard that sold me out. Death is too easy for them. They need to suffer for what they've done to me. "I'll deal with it, put him in the basement and get my tools." I hang up as soon as I finish my order and then I flex my bloodied hand. I was going to take this person apart piece by fucking piece until all they wanted was death, and then I'd deny them that too.

By the time I'm home I'm far more composed. I walk through the compound like my life isn't completely messed up and find my way down to the basement. One of the guards down here says that they've set my supplies up just the way I like them and I slowly run my hands over my tools, wondering what would be best to start out with.

Then I turn away from the table and look to see who the rat was. And when I do for a second I freeze and then I smile. Of course, it had to be him didn't it? I feel the deranged freak in me laugh because even though I was totally screwed, I was going to be able to do something I'd wanted to do for a long time. I was going to break this little fucking mouse
