Gabriel Agreste and Nathalie Sancoeur were sitting in front of the fireplace, sipping hot cocoa on a cold winter evening. The room was decorated with twinkling Christmas lights and a beautifully decorated tree stood in the corner.
Gabriel looked over at Nathalie and smiled. "You know, Nathalie, I've never been one for Christmas. But being here with you, it feels like the most wonderful time of the year."
Nathalie smiled back at him, her eyes sparkling with joy. "I feel the same way, Gabriel. Spending the holidays with you has made it so much more special."
As they sat in comfortable silence, watching the flickering flames, Gabriel reached out to take Nathalie's hand. "Nathalie, there's something I've been meaning to tell you for a while now."
Nathalie's heart skipped a beat. She had always had feelings for Gabriel, but had never dared to act on them. "What is it, Gabriel?"
Gabriel took a deep breath and looked into Nathalie's eyes. "I love you, Nathalie. I've loved you for a long time, but I was too afraid to tell you."
Nathalie's eyes widened in surprise, but then a smile spread across her face. "I love you too, Gabriel. I've been waiting for you to say that."
They leaned in and shared a tender kiss, their hearts beating as one. They knew that this Christmas would be one to remember, as they spent it together, wrapped up in each other's love.
