Gabriel and Nathalie had been married for over 20 years. They had built a life together, filled with love and laughter. But their relationship had hit a rough patch, and they were struggling to find their way back to each other.

One day, Gabriel received a mysterious letter in the mail. The letter was from someone claiming to be his long-lost brother, who he had never met before. The letter included a photo of a man who looked just like Gabriel, and a note inviting him to come to a small town in the countryside to meet him.

Gabriel was shocked and intrigued by the letter. He had always wondered about his family history, and the idea of having a brother was both exciting and nerve-wracking.

Nathalie was supportive of Gabriel's decision to go meet his brother, but she was also worried about what he might find. She knew that Gabriel had a tendency to get too invested in things, and she was afraid that this meeting might lead to disappointment.

Despite Nathalie's concerns, Gabriel decided to go to the small town to meet his brother. Nathalie wished him luck and promised to be there for him, no matter what.

When Gabriel arrived in the town, he was surprised by how quaint and charming it was. He walked through the streets, taking in the sights and sounds, and trying to calm his nerves.

As he approached the address his brother had given him, he felt his heart pounding in his chest. He knocked on the door, and a man who looked just like the photo in the letter answered.

"Gabriel?" the man said, his voice trembling slightly.

"Yes, that's me," Gabriel replied, feeling a mixture of excitement and anxiety.

The man introduced himself as Alex, and he invited Gabriel inside. They talked for hours, sharing stories about their lives and getting to know each other. Gabriel felt a sense of connection with Alex that he had never felt with anyone else.

As the night wore on, Gabriel realized that he had lost track of time. He looked at his watch and gasped - it was nearly midnight.

"I have to go," Gabriel said, standing up from the table. "My wife will be worried about me."

Alex looked at Gabriel with a sad expression. "I understand," he said. "But before you go, there's something I need to tell you."

Gabriel felt a sense of dread wash over him. He had a feeling that whatever Alex was about to say would change everything.

"What is it?" Gabriel asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

Alex took a deep breath and looked Gabriel in the eyes. "I'm not your brother," he said. "I'm your son."

Gabriel felt his world spin out of control. He stumbled backwards, feeling as though the ground had fallen out from beneath him.

"What?" he said, his voice barely audible.

"I'm your son," Alex repeated. "Your wife, Nathalie, is my mother.
