Solitaire Airport
6:30AMThe bustling sounds of the airport surrounded Luke, Brian, and Q as they made their way through the terminal. Traveling under the guise of ordinary passengers, they blended into the crowd, concealing their true identities.
Q, with his knack for technology, managed the logistics of the journey, ensuring a smooth boarding process. As they approached the gate, Luke's mind was a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions. The weight of his newfound knowledge and the anticipation of the upcoming battle pressed upon him.
The overhead announcement called their flight to Tokyo, signaling the beginning of a journey that would take them far from the familiar streets of Baltimore. Brian clapped a hand on Luke's shoulder, offering a reassuring smile.
"Ready for this, Luke?" Brian asked.
Luke took a deep breath, nodding his head, his eyes reflecting determination. "We're going to put an end to this."
Together, they boarded the plane, the hum of the engines drowning out the noise of the airport.
They all took their seats and got ready, everyone going through the safety procedures.
Eventually, Luke and the others found themselves relaxed and resting for the next 12 hours and 15 minutes.
Tokyo, Japan
6:47PMThe plane touched down at Narita International Airport, bringing Luke, Brian, and Q to the vibrant city of Tokyo. As they disembarked, the trio blended into the diverse stream of travelers. The air was different here, charged with a unique energy that hinted at the mysteries awaiting them.
Navigating through the airport, they exchanged glances, a silent acknowledgment of the task ahead. Brian led the way, his experience as a seasoned operative guiding their path. Q kept a watchful eye on their surroundings, ever alert to potential threats.
Stepping out into the bustling city, the sights and sounds of Tokyo unfolded before them. Towering skyscrapers adorned with neon lights, the constant flow of people, and the blend of tradition and modernity created a backdrop unlike anything Luke had experienced.
"We're a long way from home." Brian remarked, scanning the surroundings.
"You got that right, it's funny... when I was younger I wanted to visit here. I would've never thought it'd be for this reason." Luke said as he looked around and followed with the other two.
"Ahhh Tokyo! My home away from home gentlemen." Q was ethnically Asian, and Werster Tech HQ is set up here.
"Listen boys, I was talking with Mori, he said that we need to look for Hanzo Hamada, he can help us to find these bastards." Luke reminded everyone.
"Oh that'll be an easy task- but Luke! It seems you have an issue. We couldn't bring those suits through customs. So before we do anything too crazy, we've got to make another Phantom. Same goes for you Brian... even myself." Q said.
"Brian I've been meaning to ask you- why didn't you ever tell me you were Voltage? That would've been real helpful a few weeks ago." Luke asked.
"I didn't want you to get involved in it- I only recently got rid of my adversary. They called him Reverb. I can't tell you how much I was going through..." Brian explains.
"Brian, you are my brother. I would've helped you any way I possibly could've."
"It wasn't your fight to fight."
They all looked forward and kept walking the streets.
"All this walking is making me exhausted!" Q complained.
Navigating the lively streets of Tokyo, the trio discussed their next steps. Q's comment about the exhaustion elicited a wry smile from Luke.
"Exhaustion? I bet those legs of yours aren't even real." Luke chuckled.
"True, but if used my rocket shoes I'd leave you all behind. I'm calling in a cab." Q replied with a hint of humor in his tone.
Brian, observing the banter, added, "Alright, enough tech talk. Let's focus on finding this Hanzo guy. If he can lead us to Nexus and the Syndicate, we're on the right track."
Making their way through the shadowy alleyways of Tokyo, Luke, Brian, and Q found themselves surrounded by a group of Hiroto Yakuza Family members, led by a non-powered enforcer, Deadeye.
Deadeye, sporting a cowboy hat and a confident smirk, spoke up. "Well, well, looks like we've got some uninvited guests in our territory. You boys lost or just looking for trouble?"
Luke, maintaining his composure, responded, "We're just passing through. No need for trouble."
Deadeye chuckled, "Theres a fee coming through this here street, it's Hiroto territory, don't you know? Why don't you hand over some yen, and we might consider helping you out?"
Brian whispered to Luke. "Think we can handle this without causing a scene?"
Luke shook his head, his eyes subtly glowing with a hint of his Phantom power.
Brian's hands sparked and Q touched his wrist, causing him to go invisible.
"Ah shit! Light em up boys!" Deadeye said before pulling out his own revolver and fanning it out, managing to shoot Q and Luke in the process. Luke and Q could heal from this, Brian cannot.
Brian dealt with the group of Yakuza men effortlessly. Q was dealing the other stragglers while Luke zipped at Deadeye. Luke noticed a difference in his own power, while he was weaker now, he has much more control over himself.
Deadeye was a formidable opponent due to his combat prowess. He grabbed Luke and threw him off before he could do anything else.
From the dark sky comes a black and red figure, it was a giant zip, like in a flash everyone was defeated and on the ground, this man was dropping them one by one. Including Deadye.
He stopped right in front of the 3. All 3 of them backed up.
"Woah! Woah!" Luke says.
"Just who the hell do you think you are?" The man said.
"I'm Luke Miller! I come from America, and those men-"
"Luke Miller?" The man looked around and then to the other 2. He took his mask off, revealing himself. He had fluffy gray hair and a scar down his face.
"You- You're Hanzo!"
