Chapter 10

I may seem like a spoiled rich girl and that's what I'm suppose to act like but at heart I'm just a girl. I didn't grow up with all the expensive luxuries I have now. I grew up with a teen mom and it definitely wasn't easy but we made it through.

Satoshi and mom are down on the dock practicing some moves. He's making sure that we still know what we're doing.

"I'm going over to Nolan's if you want to come." Mom says. "Yeah I'll go for a swim in the pool." I tell her before slipping on a black bikini. I head out to the car after grabbing a pair of sandals and my sunglasses.

"Good morning girls." Nolan speaks opening the door for us. "Taking advantage of me now are we?" Nolan jokes. "Just going for a quick swim." I explain. "Yeah yeah go ahead." Nolan replies. I head out to the giant pool. Nolan doesn't use it too often but it's really well kept. I slide off my shoes and sunglasses before diving into the pool.

"I'm leaving but feel free to stay as long as you like. The pool guy should be here soon so don't be alarmed if someone comes in." Nolan tells me. My mom left his house about an hour ago but Nolan said I could hang out for a while if I wanted. I love living on the beach but sometimes you don't want to deal with all the sand and salt water. I've just been tanning outside for a while. "Ok no problem. When will you be back?" I ask. "I'm making plans for going away for the weekend so I'm not sure." He replies. I nod. "Ooo where?" I ask. "I'm thinking Monte Carlo." He replies. "Sounds fun." I tell him.

I text Josh that I'm at Nolans just hanging out if he wants to come over here he can. He replies that he'll be there in a few minutes.

I hear a knock on the door so I get up and answer it thinking its Josh but it's not. "Uh who are you?" I ask the cute boy at the door. "I could ask you the same thing." He speaks. "Nolans my uncle." I reply. Which is pretty much true. "Are you the pool guy? Nolan told me you were coming." I say. "Yeah I am can I come in and you know clean the pool?" The boy asks pointing to the pool. "Oh yeah no of course." I tell him moving out of the door way. I follow him out to the pool and I sit back down in my chair.

Josh shows up a few minutes later and walks out to the pool. "Hey babe." I stand up and give him a small kiss. "Who's that guy?" He asks. "That's the pool guy." I answer. Josh sits next to me. "How was your day?" He asks me. "It was pretty uneventful. I sat here most of the day." I reply. "What about you? Do anything fun?" I question. "Not really just hung out with a few friends." Josh tells me. "Do you want to go back to my house?" I ask. "The Sun's pretty much gone." I continue. "Sure, but are you aloud to leave that guy here alone?" He asks. "I don't know." I reply. "Hey pool dude are you aloud to be here alone?" Josh yells to the pool boy. "Yeah Mr. Ross is pretty much never here when I am." The boy explains. "Ok well we're leaving." I tell him before slipping on my sandals and taking Josh's hand. Josh and I walk out of Nolan's house and out to his car.

"Mom I'm back." I yell to her as Josh and I walk into the house. "Ok. We're in the living room." Mom replies. "Dinner will be ready soon." Mom tells me. "Josh you're welcome to stay I made swordfish." She continues. "Oh no thank you Ms. Thorne I have plans." Josh tells my mom. "I'll talk to you later Kate. I Love you." Josh tells me before giving me a quick kiss and starting to walk outside. "Love you too Josh." I say back to him. I walk back into the living room and tell my mom I'm going to change. I jog up to my room and change into a lilac purple short sleeve crop top and high waisted jean shorts before going back downstairs for dinner.

"Something's upsetting you. Hope it's not my swordfish." Mom says to Daniel. She has been acting a little weird throughout dinner. "No uh dinner was perfect. But I think I should go home." Daniel tells mom. Yes. Thank god I have had enough of this. "Why?" Mom asks. Why question it mom just push him out the door. "There's something about the way Tyler was acting today. I just want to make sure he leaves town without torching the place." Daniel explains. "Thank you for dinner." He continues. "You're welcome." Mom replies. Mom and Daniel get up and walk to the door. "Kate can you clean up a bit please." Mom tells me. I get up with a few plates and start doing a happy dance. I get my house back, I get my house back. I hope he doesn't come back to live here ever again. I bring the plates to the sink and go back to the table for another load. I decide to take a break and call Charlotte.

K- Hey what's been going on with you we haven't talked in a few days?
C- Well first my mom tried to pay off Declan, then we were going to move in with each other but we didn't and now I'm living with my dad. What about you?
K- Wow well the only thing up with me is that Daniel went home.
C- Well I gotta go but I'll talk to you soon ok?
K- Ok have fun with your dad.
C- Thanks.

After talking to Charlotte I sit down on the couch and scroll through Netflix to find something to watch. I decide on Pretty Little Liars because I'm really behind. Later mom comes in and watches with me and says that Daniel is staying the night with his mom. Thank god a night alone with my mom is just what I need. I put my head on her lap and she plays with my hair. "Hey mom." I speak. "I miss it being just us all the time. You know like when I was little and we never left each other's sides." I tell her. "I miss it too. But nothing can stay the same forever." She says to me. "I know I just wish it could." I say. After a while I fall asleep in my mothers lap.

I'm sorry I haven't updated in a really long time and that its so short but I've been really busy with school and sports. Hopefully it'll be better this summer but I'm going on a few vacations so we'll see. Thank you for reading and please vote and comment. I love you guys.
