"Your sister?" The boy looked at her in shock, starting to hear whimpers behind the door.

"So basically she turned but I didn't know what to do, so I kept her here." She started to open the door, grabbing her new company and pulling him into the room.

Her sister sat in the bathtub, pulling apart her newest teddy. "Hey Kim-ra, this is..." She trailed off, realising she hadn't actually introduced herself and vice-versa. She looked expectantly at the boy.

"Hyun-su." She nodded, "this is Hyun-su. He's here to just say hi." Her sister approached slowly, holding onto Ju-na's leg while 'watching' him. "Hungry." Ju-na sighs, looking at Hyun-su, grabbing his hand. "Come out with me."

The two leave the bathroom and the monster. "I thought we were setting a fire." "I know, but I should at least give her one last meal."

The boy sat at her table looking at the food on the counter, "So, you're the one who's been taking the food?" She nods, looking down at the measly meal she put together for her sister. How wonderful, her last meal would be dry noodles. She also grabbed the remaining cake in the fridge, offering it to her guest.

"It hasn't been in there long, it was Kimmy's birthday last week." He nodded, taking the cake from her. She grabs a cup of water before turning back to face him. "Uh, you have a bit of icing on your face." He had devoured the cake, leaving traces behind on his nose. Reaching, he tries to wipe it off but is missing completely.

Leaning over the counter, she wipes it off, staring at him for a second in silence. His cheeks start to heat up under her gaze. She quickly stood straight and clapped. "So, are you ready?"

They return to the bathroom, giving the monster her food as Hyun-su begins to coat the gasoline on the walls. "It's finished." She looked up at him, smiling.

"Thank you, go outside now. I'll light it up." He stopped at the door, turning to her. "You'll die if you stay with her."

"For someone you just met, you sure care a lot about me." "I'm just saying don't be in here too long."

He leaves the room, shutting the door behind her. "So Kim-ra, this is it." She smiled at her sister, who froze in her spot.

Suddenly, she began to wail. Softly at first and waiting for her sisters reaction. Tears fill her eyes as she watches the monster. "I don't know what you want, Kimmy." Her sister crawls towards her, laying its head on her legs, pointing at her mouth.

"Sing..." Tears fell down Ju-na's cheeks as her sister finally speaks to her. "Sing to me." She nods and starts to hum softly, reaching for the lighter in her pocket.

The monster coos hearing the soft sounds of Ju-na's singing. A whisper in her head starts, like a hissing, "Let me in." Ju-na watches her monster sister curl next to her, unaware of the danger. She accepts the whispers and screams as she feels knives in her back, tearing her skin.

At her screams Hyun-su pounds in the door, checking on her. "What's going on?" He shouts at her, still trying to open the door. "I'm fine, it wasn't me." She lied, but it would be better that he didn't know she was turning.

Large, wings curl around her and Kim-ra, protecting them from the incoming heat. "Kimmy, I couldn't protect you. I'm sorry." Her head falls onto her chest as the flames ignite. Her voice cracks as she watches flames begin to surround them, climbing the walls.

After a while the feathers on her wings shrivel from the heat, leaving her sister unprotected. "Can you forgive me?" She cries as the wings fold into her, a message telling her it's over.

Standing, she turned towards the door, grabbing at the burning handle. "Say hi to Mum and Dad for me, can you do that, Kimmy?" She sobs as she opens the door, walking out and falling to the floor.

She leans against the door, hearing the screams of her dying sister. Arms wrap around her, pulling her to her feet. "It's okay." Hyun-su pulls her close to him, hugging her as she cries.

"She's just a kid!" She screams into his shoulder, eyes blurred with tears. "Why her? Why my sister?" The boy just hugs her tighter, waiting for her to stop.

Ju-na's eyes open to see Hyun-su sitting beside her, fast asleep. Getting up and walking to the window, she sees that night has fallen. Walking to the last of her food, she prepares a dinner for herself and her friend.

Walking towards a mirror, she looks at her reflection. Her eyes were red and puffy, and her hair was knotted. "God, I look like proper shit."

She walked towards Hyun-su, who was still sleeping. Crouching, she began to shake him slightly. "Hyun-su, wake up." She whispered, watching as his eyes open sleepily.

"Here, it's the best I got." She handed him a slice of bread covered in honey and a small cube of dry noodles. He nodded, taking the plate and biting into the bread. She took a seat opposite him, watching him as he ate.

"So, what now?" He kept his head down, eating but shrugged his shoulders. "Right, well, if you could just scoot over, I would like to go to the bathroom." He looked up, quickly shaking his head at her.

"No, it's better if you don't see." She nods and sighs, looking out to the window. She could just see the sky lightening from where she sat.

"Would the survivors accept me?" He nodded again, getting ready to stand. Holding out his hand to her, he pulled her up. "Let's go quickly before they get suspicious."

"Why would they be suspicious of you?" "They would think I turned." She nods, walking out the room to the hallway, holding the door for him. He stops walking and turns to her.

"What's your name?" She turns, looking at him. "Ju-na. Nice to meet you." She holds out her hand, which he shakes slightly smiling.

"Now, let's go."
