Jerk! (TADC | Jax x Ragatha)

4 - Wrong

Ragatha was the first to wake up. Jax was still snuggled up behind her, sleeping. She slowly got up, and shook Jax awake.

"Hey, Jax, wake up."

"Ughh.. why the hurry?"

"Because we need to have breakfast with the others."

"..Oh. Right."

Jax slowly got up and followed Ragatha to the door. Upon reaching the door however, Ragatha paused.

She hadn't remembered leaving it open.

The two made their way to breakfast together, and sat in their respective seats.

Throughout breakfast, Pomni kept glancing at Ragatha. At times Ragatha would catch her, but wouldn't question it. Not until after breakfast. Jax headed off to talk to Zooble, giving Ragatha some time to confront Pomni.

"Hey, Pomni, can we talk?"

"Huh? About what? What is there to talk about?"

Ragatha, being a bad liar herself, could clearly tell that Pomni was hiding something.

"Well, it's just that you've been.. well, acting a little 'off', to say the least."

"Whaaat? Me? Noooo, I'm totally finee!"

"Pomni, cmon, what's wrong?"

Pomni let out a sigh, knowing she couldn't keep up her facade any longer.

"Ragatha, are you and Jax.. yknow.. dating?"

"..What?? Where is this coming from?"

"W-Well I kinda opened your door to wake you up for breakfast, and.. uhm.. saw you two.. cuddling."

Ragatha paused for a moment, then realized. Jax had slept with her that night to make sure she didn't have a nightmare again. There was also the explanation for the open door.

"U-Uhm, I know it may seem like that, b-but you've got it all wrong, okay? There's nothing going on between me and Jax."

"Ragatha there's no need to-"

"Good morning and good early evening my superstars!"

Caine appeared out of thin air, with a booming voice.

"Today is another day for adventure!"

"F%@# this, I'm out."

Zooble, of course, leaves.

"Today's adventure will be.. hide and seek!"

Silence filled the circus.

"Hide and seek? That's a kids game, Caine."

Said Jax, clearly amused at the fact Caine was making them play something they played as little children. And had outgrown.

"Yes, Jax! Hide and seek! Now, I've put around various spots for you to hide, so get creative my dears!"

Caine snaps his fingers, and a wheel with their names appears, including Zoobles, whom he brings back with another snap of his fingers.

"Ugh, this is so dumb.."

Groans Zooble.

"It's adventure, Zooble! Now, let's see who our seeker will be for today!"

Caine spins the wheel, and awaits the result. The seeker is.. Ragatha.

"Well Ragatha, looks like you're the seeker! Count to 30 seconds, no peeking!"

He saids, wagging his index finger left and right.
