Chapter 11: Questions For Rosé And Jisoo

The first question that caught Lisa’s eye was, “I already asked this question to Lisa and also Jennie, which was about sexualities and I wanna ask the same question to Rosé and Jisoo.” That was the question that Lisa asked, and Rosé quickly answered, “You guys already know the answer to that.” She said with a grin but went serious, “But there was one time I thought I was bi because dated a guy before …” She admitted it to the surprise of the viewers, who decided not to push her on it if she didn’t want to talk about it.

Then next to Jisoo, who was distracted as she was playing a mobile game on her phone, to get her attention, Rosé tapped her shoulder, which worked as she looked up; “oh, bi” was the only thing she said as she returned to the game she was playing. Then Lisa saw another question: “The next question is for Jisoo and Rosé… Wow, when did this stop being a “Jenlisa Live?” Lisa said in amusement, “It stopped being one when you invited us to answer questions.” Jisoo joked, making them laugh, as Lisa continued, “Anyways, Jisoo and Rosé, when are you going to upload your channels?” Hearing that Rosé answered first, “I will apologize because I got busy at the recording studio, but don’t worry, I’ve been thinking of doing a song cover; you’ll find out what it is soon enough,” she said with a wink, then she turned to look at Jisoo, who then looked up for a bit, then back to her phone. “The second part of the game I recorded will be posted soon, so don’t worry,” she said. “Well, there you have it, fol-“ “Wait, let’s ask Sofia too,” Rosé said, interrupting Lisa, who nodded as they looked at a surprised Sofia. “Um, you guys already know and I’m quite busy with my schedule at the moment, but I’m thinking of doing a cover soon,” she responded as everyone nodded, and the viewers loved how Rosé included her even if the question wasn’t directed towards her.

Then Jennie read the next comments: “So have you two secretly dated someone when you were still part of Blackpink?” is what the question said. Rosé spoke first: “As I have mentioned, I dated a guy from late 2017 to early 2019, and I’m not going to say his name for privacy.” She revealed this, earning a shock from the viewers as they didn’t expect that. “We met through a friend, and he was not from our industry, and we clicked because we loved music a lot,” she said as she explained more about him “But he wasn’t used to my lifestyle, so during the tour he decided to break up with me by phone, telling me that he was tired of hiding and said that he couldn’t do it anymore after we argue for because I declined on going on a date with him out in the open after our concert that he was supposed to go” she said and continued. “Actually, I don’t know if I really did love him because I remember only dated him because our friends thought we looked cute together and agreed when he asked me out, but I guess I loved him enough to write Gone.” Rosé revealed, earning another shock from the viewers. “Oh, but don’t worry guys, most of the lyrics are just dramatized, like me giving my all to him since the only thing we ever did was kiss because I wasn’t ready, but it’s probably because I didn’t feel sure if he was the right one, but the ones that were true were him changing his number and breaking up with me at 8 in the morning.” Rosé added, “And plus I already have moved on from him many years ago, as I’m comfortable enough to talk about him,” she said, reassuring the viewers.

As they checked the comments, Jennie said, “And the viewers are angry.” Jennie observed as she looked through them, “They have the right to get angry at him.” Lisa replied as Jisoo agreed with her, “Uh, yeah, and as you can see, the girls never really liked him that well, but Jennie and Unnie tried to be civil around him, but Lisa always showed how she never liked him whenever he visited.” Rosé explained, “I never liked him for you because I noticed that whenever he was late on your dates, you were patient enough to wait, but whenever you became late because of a schedule, he’d get annoyed and complain, and other reasons other like him never adjusting to your lifestyle, saying he’s busy when you invite him on music shows even when he’s not, and sometimes doesn’t appear nor support you when we have a performance.” Lisa said her reasons, to which the other two agreed, and everyone noticed that she was thinking about something and made a decision, “You know, I actually confronted him when we went back home to Korea after the tour.” She admitted it to everyone.

Hearing that shocked everyone, as they didn’t expect it. “What?” both Jennie and Rosé shouted in surprise. “You should have let me join you.” Jisoo complained, which earned a look from the two. “Please tell me that you only talked to him.” Jennie replied with a nervous tone, “Yes, don’t worry, I only spoke to him.” Lisa said to her, “Lisa, I know you did not just talk to him,” Rosé said in a serious tone as she looked at Lisa. “OK, ok, I kind of confronted him,” she admitted as Jennie just stared at her in disbelief. “But I really just talked to him seriously,” she told them, but the two weren’t convinced by what she was saying. “I just told him (she actually yelled at him) that he was a coward who broke up and hurt someone I care about,” she explained, while Rosé’s eyes softened as she heard, “You shouldn’t have done that,” she said calmly. “I was just angry at him, like you didn’t deserve to be hurt like that,” Lisa replied, “but I was fi--.“ “Yes, you were fine during concerts as you are a professional, but you cried in the hotel room when he broke up with you and I, Jennie, and Jisoonie were there to see it,” Lisa said, interrupting what Rosé was supposed to say and surprising her a bit. Then she felt Sofia hold her hand in comfort, making Rosé smile and hold her hand back..

Then Jisoo asked Lisa, “So what happened?” “We both agreed that it was shitty to break up with someone over the phone, and he told me that he was sorry for hurting you but he got tired of hiding and wanted to freely date someone,” she told them, making Jennie feel annoyed and Rosé roll her eyes. “Then I said if he ever loved you, he should have tried, but he had the nerve to glare and tell me that he couldn’t never be like me in being in a secret relationship, to which I replied, “Well, that’s the difference between you and me cause I loved Jennie enough to protect and hide our relationship unlike you,” which made him shut up; and before I left, I told him to never reveal your relationship to the media, and he told me that he would never endanger your career," she said as everyone was surprised to learn the conversation that happened and how Lisa handled it. “Oh, and there was also that time he once DM’d me on Instagram when you were promoting your solo,” she revealed to them as she remembered.

Hearing that shocked everyone more. “What did he want?” Sofia asked her, “He asked if Gone was about him, and I said yes, but told him that you made it during 2019, that you have already moved on, and that you decided to make it as a song in your solo.” Lisa replied to her, “And he didn’t say anything on that, and I told him to never contact me again or try to contact Rosé, and blocked him after.” Lisa explained as all of them felt annoyed by his audacity but were glad that was the end of it.

Then everyone noticed that Rosé texted someone, then continued, “As I have been given the ok, I will admit that I dated Suzy.” She admitted this to the viewers, who were surprised as she continued, “but we never got the chance to have a second date because we got busy and forgot it and the same thing happened with Talia but we’re good friends though, but weirdly enough, after that, all of the girls I dated only made it to the first date, got busy to go on a second one, or that time I got ghosted.” She revealed then, looked at Sofia, “And she was the last person I dated, and I’m happy it went great.” She said as she put her arm around Sofia and pulled her closer, making Sofia laugh as she cuddled with Rosé, while Jisoo rolled her eyes at them then looked to the camera, “As for me, I only dated two people: Hae-In is the second person I dated, and for the first one, like Rosé, I will admit that I dated Bona, but we mutually broke up because we got very busy with our schedules.” That shocked the viewers more and after the two made the reveal, the fans had mixed emotions; at first, they were pissed off by Rosé’s ex then became delighted at learning who they dated. “I think that’s all of the Jisoo and Rosé-centered questions,” Lisa said as they decided to take a short break because Rosé decided to get up and get a snack from the fridge for Jisoo and Sofia.
