Quite Unexpected

Chapter 12: A Question About Jealousy

As Rosé got back and after giving Jisoo and Sofia a snack, they continued to find questions and spotted one: “OK, this is a question about Jennie and Lisa, but Jisoo and Rosé will be the ones answering as your opinion is needed.” Jennie read out loud to the two who heard it, “So what’s the question?” Jisoo asked, “Okay, so in your opinion, who do you think is the jealous one?” was the reply as Jennie went quite and looked at the two while Lisa snickered, “Sorry, Jenduek, but I have to say it’s you.” Jisoo said laughing as Rosé snickered and Jennie pouted, “Unnie is right though.” Lisa said, “Yeah, you’re kind of obvious when you’re jealous while Lisa is scarily quiet.” Rosé pointed it out as Jisoo nodded.

Then Jisoo decided to give an example: “It’s not rare for Lisa to get jealous; it’s only when Jennie ends up accidentally ignoring her.” Jisoo explained, “I don’t ignore her that much.” Jennie says, defending herself, “You sometimes do.” Lisa revealed, but she was smiling and laughing as Jennie continued to pout more while Jisoo continued to explain, “Anyway, as I was saying, if she gets jealous, she gives the silent treatment, like that one time when one of Jennie’s friends visited us in the practice room and she paid more attention to her while ignoring Lisa, who gave her a water bottle, but she accepted the friend's water bottle and that friend wiped her sweat with the towel even though Lisa was offering that.” Jisoo says as she recounts the story, Jennie remembered what happened but thought it was cute of her to get jealous like that and rests her head on Lisa’s shoulder as the explanation goes on: “and Lisa was quiet during the ride and when we got to our dorms Lisa immediately went to her room without saying anything even though Jennie asked if they wanted to watch a movie together, and Jennie was confused till we told her making her realize what happened and she then went straight to Lisa’s room and knocked on her door.” Jisoo told the viewers who were very eager to know what happened next.

And then Rosé joined in and added something to the story: “It was very funny to hear Lisa act all annoyed while Jennie was trying to talk to her through the door, but of course she opened it and was a bit stubborn but Jennie didn’t care and went inside her room and that’s where they talked and made up afterwards,” Rosé says, snickering at the memory. “Yeah, and did other stuff other than talking,” Jisoo said, making her and Rosé shudder as they regretted that they continued listening through the door to know what was happening but ended up hearing something else, making Lisa and Jennie blush at that as the viewers were amused. “Anyways, as I was trying to say, even though Lisa gets jealous and mad, she can’t resist Jennie, even though she tries to act mad,” Rosé explains with an amused smile. “Whipped,” Jisoo says in between fake coughs, making everyone laugh as the viewers are amused at learning that even if Lisa is supposedly angry, she immediately softens up under Jennie as she can never stay mad at her.

Then Jisoo continued, “Well, I already explained how Jennie is obvious when she’s jealous, and let me tell you, she’ll glare and be a bit rude to the person she’s jealous of,” Jisoo reveals, as Jennie felt embarrassed at that. “I think it’s pretty hot when you’re jealous,” she whispers that to her, making her blush red as she didn’t have a response to that. While the viewers noticed and jokingly wanted to know what Lisa said to make Jennie blush, Jisoo started to explain, “One of the examples I remember is that one time Lisa spotted one of her old school friends who was currently in Korea for a vacation at a café that we were also in, and Jennie started immediately getting jealous because, as you guys don’t know, Jennie wants Lisa’s attention to be on her only.” Jisoo explains to them, “Don’t worry, baby, you will always have my full attention.” She whispers to her again as Jennie softly smiles at her.

The viewers who saw thought that their interaction was adorable as they continued on listening to Jisoo’s story: “Lisa then introduced her to us, and Jennie acted uninterested and gave her a fake smile, showing that she didn’t like that the girl was getting Lisa’s full attention while the two were talking and making jokes, but she controlled herself as she didn’t want to make a scene nor be thought of as rude but just acted indifferent, which Lisa noticed but didn’t do anything, which was weird because normally, Lisa would always reassure her, but at that moment,, she didn’t do anything, and then a guy approached our table, and Lisa’s friend introduced that guy as her boyfriend, much to Jennie’s shock when she heard it, and it seems that Lisa knew by the way she smiled and teased Jennie after the two left the café,” Jisoo said, ending the story with a laugh.

Lisa, who was snickering at Jennie as she looked embarrassed by how she acted towards the friend, then spoke, “Yeah, it was funny, and I guess that answers your question, so let’s go find the next question,” she said smiling, and started kissing Jennie’s cheeks, making her laugh a little. “Yeah, let’s just find comments,” Rosé said to Sofia, who nodded as Jisoo watched the two to stop them if something inappropriate happens, like sure, it’s just sweet kisses, but it leads to something else, and Jisoo knows that all too well.
