The Hogwarts library, bathed in the soft glow of enchanted lanterns, was a haven of quietude and knowledge. As Harry settled into a corner with a pile of books, he couldn't shake the exhaustion that clung to him after the intense second task of the Triwizard Tournament. The library, however, offered solace in its familiar silence.
Lost in his thoughts about the mermaid-infested lake and the challenges he faced underwater, Harry barely noticed the soft footsteps approaching him. It was only when a gentle voice spoke that he looked up from his scattered notes.
"Harry," Danyi Kim said, her voice a comforting murmur in the hushed surroundings.
Startled, Harry met her gaze, finding a mixture of warmth and genuine concern in her eyes. "Danyi, hey," he replied, offering a tired but appreciative smile.
Danyi pulled out the chair opposite him and sat down. "I wanted to congratulate you on your performance in the second task. Second place is no small feat, especially considering the obstacles you faced underwater."
Harry nodded, feeling a surge of gratitude for Danyi's unexpected support. "Thanks. It was... challenging, to say the least. Those mermaids were no joke."
Danyi chuckled softly. "I can imagine. But you handled it well. And besides, you're one step closer to the Triwizard Cup."
"Yeah," Harry said, leaning back and rubbing his temples. "But it feels like the tasks are only getting more dangerous. I can't shake the feeling that something big is coming."
Danyi studied him for a moment before reaching into her bag and producing a small vial. "Here," she said, handing it to him. "A calming potion. It might help you relax a bit. You've earned it."
Harry took the vial, touched by her gesture. "Thanks, Danyi. You seem to have a remedy for everything."
Danyi grinned. "Well, I like to be prepared. And you never know when a calming potion might come in handy."
As Harry uncorked the vial and took a sip, he felt a soothing wave wash over him. Danyi's presence and the gesture of kindness lifted his spirits, if only for a moment.
"Remember, Harry," Danyi said, her expression sincere, "you're not alone in this. If you ever need someone to talk to or some extra help with the upcoming tasks, you know where to find me."
Harry nodded appreciatively, realizing that he had found an unexpected ally in the unlikeliest of places—the Hogwarts library, after dark, with Danyi Kim offering not just potions but a comforting presence in the midst of magical challenges.

In the days leading up to the third task of the Triwizard Tournament, Harry found himself once again seeking Danyi's discreet guidance. The Hogwarts library, their chosen meeting place, became a haven for strategic discussions and planning. As they huddled together in a secluded corner, Danyi shared her insights about the impending maze.
"Harry," Danyi began, her tone hushed yet confident, "the maze is likely to be filled with magical obstacles and challenges. It's crucial to be prepared for anything."
Harry leaned in, absorbing her words. "I've been trying to figure out what to expect, but it's all so mysterious. What do you suggest?"
Danyi pulled out a worn piece of parchment covered in her neat handwriting. "First, study the creatures and spells that might be encountered. The more you know, the better equipped you'll be to handle the surprises."
Harry nodded, impressed by the thoroughness of Danyi's research. "Alright, creatures and spells. Got it. What else?"
Danyi tapped the parchment with her finger. "Second, trust your instincts. The maze is designed to disorient, but your gut feeling can guide you. If something doesn't feel right, don't hesitate to change direction or take precautions."
Harry appreciated the advice, realizing the value of intuition in the unpredictable labyrinth that awaited him. "Good point. Instincts it is. Anything else?"
Danyi glanced around to ensure no one was eavesdropping before leaning in even closer. "Lastly, remember that you're not just navigating a maze; you're in a competition. Be cautious, but also keep an eye on the other champions. They might be allies or adversaries, depending on the situation."
Harry raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Allies? You mean like we've been?"
Danyi smiled mysteriously. "Exactly. But alliances can shift, especially in the heat of the moment. Just be aware of your surroundings and choose your interactions wisely."
As Harry processed Danyi's advice, a sense of gratitude washed over him. He had stumbled upon an invaluable ally, someone who not only provided practical tips but also understood the intricacies of the tournament's challenges.
"Thanks, Danyi," Harry said sincerely. "I don't know how I would have navigated all this without your help."
Danyi shrugged modestly. "We're in this together, Harry. Just remember our deal: keep our alliance a secret, and let's see you emerge from that maze victorious."

"Earlier today Professor Moody placed the tri-wizards cup deep within the maze. Only he knows its exact position. Now as Mr. Diggory..." The crowd begin to cheer his name loudly. "and Mr. Potter tied for first position they will be the first to enter the maze. Followed by Mr. Krum..." The Bulgarian crowd go nuts.
"The first person to touch the cup will be the winner. I've instructed the staff to patrol the perimeter, if at any point should a contestant wish to withdraw from the task he or she need only send up red sparks with their wands. Contestants, gather round."
"In the maze you'll find not dragons or creatures of the deep. Instead you'll face something more challenging. You see, people change in the maze. Oh find the cup if you can, but be very weary you could just lose yourselves along the way."
"Champions! Prepare yourselves." Cedric turns and hugs his father tightly. "On the count of three...one...tw-"
The cannon goes off. Mr. Filch shrugs comically. Dumbledore groans. Harry and Cedric enter the maze through different entrances. The entrance closes up behind Harry. Heavy mist sets in, we pan out to see the maze is many stories tall. Harry starts traversing the maze, creature noises are all around. Cedric is walking along, the maze walls begin to close in on him. He makes a run for it. Fleur is running around scared, she is attacked and knocked down. Viktor comes along and sees she's unconscious on the ground, he walks on. Harry sees Fleur being swallowed into the undergrowth.
"Fleur? Fleur!" He's too late she's disappeared. He sends up a red spark into the air. A heavy wind starts blowing, walls are closing in, Harry runs. Harry sees something shining in the distance and he moves towards it Viktor tries to zap him but misses.
"Get down!" Cedric yells. Harry ducks and Viktor gets zapped by Cedric. Cedric runs up and kicks the wand out of Viktor's hand. He points his wand at Viktor's body as if to finish him off, Harry runs up and intervenes. "No stop! He's bewitched Cedric." They struggle for a moment. "Get off me!"
"Cedric, he's bewitched!" The two of them begin running towards the cup. The undergrowth grabs Cedric and he falls to the ground. Harry looks back. Cedric is pinned down with no means of escape. "Harry!"
Harry zaps the plant life and Cedric wriggles free. Harry helps him up. "You know for a moment there I thought you were gonna let it get me."
"For a moment, so did I."
"Some game huh?"
"Some game." The wind starts blowing again. "Go, take it. You saved me!"
"Together, on three. One, two, three!"
