Voldemort thought Lucius was going to get cross-eyed looking at his neck like that. The blond was definitely not discreet as he stared at the mating mark that the King didn't intend to hide for a second. Plus, she was beautiful, very clean. His omega had not missed his shot by biting him and he knew he had done the same because he had time to contemplate his bound companion before leaving for work that morning. He had brought Harry back to Potter Manor, in case the old fool felt himself growing wings and tried to poison his husband's mind. Yes, he could think husband, the marriage stage was a sort of formality now. He would accomplish it all the same, so that no one could dare say that their children were bastards. Voldemort just had to put that in Harry's head and that would be it. He would be happy to see them full of their offspring as he walked to him for their bonds.

Coming out of his thoughts of marital bliss – he would never have thought himself capable of imagining such a thing – Voldemort raised a slightly irritated eyebrow at his right arm who stammered an apology while lowering his head. Was it so unbelievable that he allowed Harry to mark him? Even though he had shown him to be his equal until then? He drummed on his desk.

-I'm listening to you, Lucius.

-Of course, Milord. Severus didn't say a word. We didn't dare torture him as we feared his spirit would break. Regulus is with him and all he could get was shaking and a balled up figure in the corner of the room.

That was quite surprising. Severus had never been one to let his toes be walked on, omega or not. He remembered the standoff that Regulus had led to finally be considered a good alpha. And many would say that he had failed since the omega had fled from him with their future son in his womb. Voldemort drummed again while making sure Lucius was no longer looking at him like a fairground animal. He feared he would have to act differently and he didn't like it. He still had to make sure. He stood up smoothly and nodded.

-I'm going to go see that. Try to make sure Barty doesn't make a mistake with the press.
