Even though he knew that their children would be well received by the members of the Inner Circle, Voldemort felt a kind of nervousness whose content he could tell. He feared that this family that he had built from scratch could be disappointed in his offspring. Note that this wouldn't go well if there could be a criticism but... Voldemort wanted this to go well. He didn't want to become so angry that he could torture them all when it was an occasion for celebration and joy, these two beings he carried in his arms.

The waiting room was full, the Death Eaters who had been waiting for them stood up as one. Already, he could see relief at seeing his husband on their faces. Since when had it become predictable for these people? Was it so obvious that he would have destroyed everything in his path if Harry had had the idea of perishing? Voldemort felt a touch on his magic and he had no need to wonder where it came from. His omega felt his stress and Voldemort was surprised that he was so calm while Harry's godfather charged towards them. Voldemort restrained himself from showing his teeth. Especially since Black looked quite hilarious.

-They are so cute !!!

Black reached out to touch. Deftly, his godson held him back with a gentle smile.

-Thank you but wait until their father relaxes. We will avoid a massacre today.

Black didn't understand right away, until he met his gaze and took a step back. Voldemort was in no danger of apologizing for scaring this rascal who had already wanted to get his hands on his little ones. He barely suppressed a growl, his protective instinct much more awake than he would have thought. Although he knew rationally that his children were in no danger with this man, he just wanted him to go far, far away. He took a deep breath as Harry laughed a little.

-You know not to kill anyone, right?

-… I know.

But his tone spoke volumes about his state of mind. Voldemort gestured for Abraxas to move forward. The blond looked like Yule was already there.

-Stand in line and don't try to touch them unless I tell you you can.

Yes, by organizing the thing, things would go better. Patriarch Malfoy pronounced his wishes and respects for the heirs of his revered King. He congratulated them warmly, giving way to Barty who had tears in his eyes to meet the two newborns. Bellatrix had a hard time keeping her hands to herself, helped by her husband who knew her well enough to avoid the risks. Remus was actually crying, Severus' face was closed but his eyes said it all. Voldemort felt a slight uneasiness, the potionist would still have things to face before he could perhaps find this happiness again.

When they all had a close look at the cubs, Voldemort relaxed as there was a slight distance between them. Harry fixed their daughter's hat and finally introduced them.

-Here is your princess, Yseult Lily Merope Potter-Slytherin and your prince Dorian Thomas Harry Potter-Slytherin.

Everyone nodded, there was no criticism of the names although Black started to cry in his turn, supported by Lupine who sniffed as discreetly as possible.

-Who was born first?

-Dorian did it. I was a little surprised but at the same time, I guess they had to choose that date.

Voldemort frowned while his omega smiled again, looking genuinely amused.

-This date ?

-They were born a few minutes from the end of October 31, my husband.

Voldemort realized. In the middle of Samhain night. As if they had crossed the veil between worlds. Indeed, it was quite amusing and evocative. It was on this same date that he almost killed his omega. Was it precisely so that this night would become a good memory? In itself, it was already in part of Voldemort's mind.
