Blue Jade

After the Demon Bull King's defeat, at her apartment, Leona receives a gift addressed to her. A familiar looking blue jade pendant.

From whom, she does not know.

Leona had returned to her apartment after MK's exhilarating victory over the defeating of the Demon Bull King. As soon as she opened her front door, the tall brunette limply walked over to the couch and threw herself down on it. 

Leona felt exhausted! After almost getting killed today, she deserved some R&R.

But just as she was about to fall asleep, she heard a knock.

"Excuse me, Miss Cai?" Asked a familiar voice outside the doorway. Leona opened her eyes to see a dark blue haired woman wearing dark brown cargo shorts, with a tan button up, boots and ball-cap. 

It was Rhonda. An acquaintance of hers and is one of Megapolis's many removalists.

They didn't interact much, but were willing to strike up conversations whenever they did.

"Hey Rhonda, what's up?" Leona sat up on the couch and faced the other woman.

"Got a delivery for ya." Rhonda reached into her pocket and brought out a small paper bag. She held the bag out towards Leona. 

The brunette slowly got off the couch and took the paper bag. When she looked inside, her eyes went wide.

It was a Blue Jade circle pendant with a hole in the centre, placed on a black fabric cord.

"It's beautiful," Said Leona softly. Then she turned to face Rhonda again. "Who sent this?" Leona asked confusedly.

"I dunno, I didn't see the person's face. He was wearing a yellow hoodie with blue sleeves." Rhonda explained. "And I heard his voice, he's definitely a guy."

"What did he say?" Leona asked curiously.

"All he was to give this to you." Rhona explained. "And he mentioned you by name."

Leona's eyes widened. 'He knows my name?!' She thought to herself. 

Leona looked back down at the gift. Who could even afford something like this? There's no brand label on the bag, not even a note.

But still...this is quite a lovely present. She couldn't help but smile softly.

"Are you gonna be okay?" Asked Rhonda with slight worry. "If your worried about this guy being a...?"

"I'll be alright," Leona suddenly stopped Rhonda, giving her a warm smile. "You should probably get back to work now. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine."

"Okay..." With that, Rhonda began walking away.
But she paused before reaching the door frame. "But if you need anything, just call me okay?" Rhonda said. With that, she left Leona alone.

The moment her friend left the room, Leona pulled out the pendant from the bag and slipped it around her neck. It fit perfectly on her cleavage.

Leona's heart fluttered with excitement. She had no idea why, but something about this necklace made her feel so happy.

Which is ironic, since she usually doesn't gush over things like jewellery and barely ever wears it.

But she felt that this pendant was an exception.

Still, she couldn't shake the feeling that something was also, off about this.

Suddenly, Leona heard a pecking noise at her window.

She quickly went over to her window and opened it to let a beautiful orange and teal bird fly in. Leona gave the bird a wide smile. 

"Peach Fuzz!" She exclaimed happily.
