amekha's pov

i might've been rude towards tiana but that's just the way my personality is. I do feel bad fighting with her sometimes but that's the only way I get an excuse of speaking to her.

my exams are finally over and i need to rest. Let me text in the groupchat

amekha : guys let's go to the movies tomorrow
prajna : im down!!
sandhra : sure let's go it'll be fun!

i was waiting for tiana's reply but it took her longer than i expected

tiana : i don't think ill be able to join you guys this time, you guys can have fun!

great. i made plans only to get a chance to meet her and she had to ruin it. which is why i decided to ask tiana personally

amekha : why are you not coming tomorrow?
tiana : i have some stuffs to deal with but why do you even care?
amekha : oh so i can't even ask you questions now? fine i wont talk to you if you don't want me to.
was i a bit too rude? why can't she come though? i can't help but be concerned about her.

The next day
(prajna and sandhra waiting for amekha outside the cinema)
"Why is it taking her so long"
"Wait I'll call her" sandhra calls amekha
"Amekha where are you? The movie's about to begin"
oh shoot what am i gonna tell them
"guys actually i can't make it you guys go on ill be there in sometime"
I need to find out what happened to tiana

I go to her house and i see no one inside and that's when i remembered we've got our location tracking switched on
I quickly check where she is and track her location
When I reached the location, the place seemed very shabby and it was a small lane
That's when i spot tiana being grabbed by some old dude inside a room i immediately run towards her
"STOP RIGHT THERE"
the old man seemed frightened for a moment
"AMEKHA? what are you doing here?!" tiana asks in shock
"what do you mean what am i doing here? Don't you think I should be the one asking you that?" I ask her abruptly.
"Leave us alone and mind your own damn business for once"
"There's no way I'm leaving you alone with this old dude, come with me right now"
"Who the fuck are you to order me around amekha? I clearly asked you to leave. LEAVE"
"Don't you understand what she said? She asked you to leave us alone" the old man orders me
"I'll leave you alone if you let go of her. ive already called the cops"
The old man lets go of her immediately runs away.
"what the fuck is your problem amekha? Why do you always come in my way? I can't do this anymore"
"Cant do what?" I ask her
"nothing. you wouldn't get it even if i told you"
"i asked you a question tiana."
"FINE I CANT LIKE YOU ANYMORE AMEKHA. YES I LIKE YOU BUT NOT AS FRIEND AND I KNOW THAT I SHOULDNT LIKE A GIRL BUT I JUST CANT HELP IT."
she pauses takes a deep breath and speaks again with a calmer tone
"At this point im sure you don't wanna be friends with me and I knew this would happen.  I can't spend day and night thinking of you anymore. i can't tolerate you hating me anymore. I can't see you being close and nice to other girls and be blunt with me anymore. All of this, I can't. And this was the only way I was helping myself get my mind off of you."
She wipes the tears streaming down her cheeks
"Let's not be friends anymore."
I could hear a piece of me breaking. I take a few short breaths and respond
"Wow tiana, so this is what you've been thinking of me all this time. Have you ever considered my feelings? How I truly feel? And the part about me being rude to you, tiana I can't help it ive always been rude to people I'm comfortable with and you were one of them. Its just so uncomfortable smiling and speaking softly to everyone. With you, im my real self. I did not think that you'd be so upset with my behaviour, im sorry for that, i really am. Also, hear me out. I've liked you too tiana, I've liked you since the day we first met but I was just so confused about my feelings and did not know what to do about it. And why would I not wanna talk to you? Tiana, I love you the way you are. I wouldn't want you to change at all. And why would you even take this extreme step of giving away your body to some old dude just to distract yourself? Anyways, I've told you how I feel and now it's all up to you if you still wanna be friends with me and whatever you say I will without any questions respect your decision.
Damn what did I even say. I'm too embarrassed to show her my face. And for a fact I know that she wouldn't wanna be friends anymore but I really hope she doesn't say that.
"Yes, I don't wanna be friends anymore."
She says with a straight face
I was ready to jump off the cliff at the very moment and just when she says that a smile forms on her face and she tells
"I wanna be something more than friends"
"WHAT DONT TELL ME YOURE JOKING RIGHT NOW?"
"Im not..unless you don't want that"
"I DO" I could feel my heart thumping out my chest. One more word she says and my heart is gonna burst out.
"What are we gonna do now? She asks
"Let's go to the movies and complete what we haven't"
"But I already told you I wouldn't be coming and it will be very hard to get a ticket on the spot"
I immediately grab the tickets from my pocket
"Which is why i already bought one for both of us"
A wide smile appears on her face and she helds on to my hand. I could feel the shivers up my spine.
And just like that we leave to the cinema
