Special Chapter 3

FLASHBACKS

It's been a week since the start of classes. "Sunghoon, our seniors are throwing a welcome party for freshmen. Chan said we should go; he insisted we can't miss it," Jay said while flipping through a book in the library, where they were working on an assignment. Despite the school year just beginning, they were already swamped with tasks.

Sunghoon replied, focused on writing, "I don't really like that kind of stuff now."

Jay chuckled softly, "Well, you were the one who used to invite us to things back in high school. You were a bad influence back then."

"That was then; I've changed. I'm a good boy now," Sunghoon said with a smile.

Jay shrugged in response, "Well, look who's got a love life now."

Classes are over, and Sunghoon is waiting for Jake, as his class ends earlier. Sunghoon smiled when he saw Jake, his feelings for Jake remain unchanged, only deepening with each smile he sees.

"Sunghoon," Jake cutely waves upon spotting him, then runs to hug his boyfriend. Sunghoon lovingly reciprocates the embrace.

"How are you today?" Sunghoon asked, and he gave Jake a forehead kiss that made his face flush. He looked around to see if anyone was watching but saw no one because everyone had their own world.

Jake lightly slaps Sunghoon on the arm, blushing and saying, "My day was good" he shyly said "I told you before don't do it in public I feel embarrassed." He said unconsciously pouting.

Sunghoon smiles adoringly looking at Jake. "I won't, and I don't care if anyone sees us." Sunghoon assured him.

"Let's go home now, let's eat at our favorite restaurant cause I don't feel like cooking today," Sunghoon said.

Jake cutely agreed eagerly.

They were happily eating in their favorite restaurant when Jake asked, "Oh, Felix hyung, my senior invited us to the welcome party. He said it's for us freshmen. Are you guys going?"

Sunghoon nodded, "Jay mentioned it earlier. I didn't want to go, but if you're going, then count me in."

"Why didn't you want to go? It's fine if we don't attend," Jake inquired.

Sunghoon shrugged, "I didn't want to go because I thought you wouldn't agree or wouldn't go."

"Why wouldn't I agree? I trust you, so you can go to any party. Besides, Sunoo wants to go, and we initially didn't want to, but we can't let him go alone, so we'll join," Jake explained.

Sunghoon nodded, "So, are we going?" Jake nodded in response.

On the day of the party...

"There are so many people here," Jungwon commented as he observed the busy crowd chatting, drinking, and dancing.

"What did you expect? Almost all freshmen are probably here," Sunoo sarcastically remarked.

"By the way, Jake hyung, where's your boyfriend? Why didn't you come together?" Sunoo asked.

"He left early; they had something to finish with Jay to avoid any problems while partying. We agreed to meet here instead," Jake replied.

"Wow, those two are really diligent, making sure not to disappoint you guys," Sunoo sarcastically added.

Jungwon snorted "get yourself a boyfriend so you don't have to be jealous of us." He teased.

Sunoo just rolled his eyes.

Two hours have passed since the three of them arrived, and they've been sitting in a corner after thoroughly searching the entire venue to find Sunghoon and Jay. Despite texts earlier saying they were on their way, the two friends are nowhere to be found. They've been trying to call and message, but there's been no response.

They are starting to worry, fearing that something bad might have happened to Sunghoon and Jay. However, those concerns quickly fade as their eyes catch Sunghoon in the distance, engaged in conversation. They can't make out who he's talking to due to the obstruction, but his laughter and smiling face are evident. As they approach, they encounter a somewhat tipsy Jay.

Jungwon approached Jay to support him as he was having difficulty walking properly. "Jay, we've been calling you guys since earlier, but you weren't answering. We thought something bad happened to you," Jungwon expressed his concern, raising his voice a bit due to the loud music.

Jay smiled and gently squeezed Jungwon's cheeks. "Sorry if Jay made Wonnie worried; our phones died" Jay said who is obviously drunk based on his speech and actions.

While Jungwon was helping Jay sit on a nearby chair, Jake went to where Sunghoon was. As he approached his boyfriend, who was happily chatting, he finally saw the person Sunghoon was talking to up close—a stunningly beautiful and incredibly sexy woman.

Jake was about to approach Sunghoon, who was clearly intoxicated, to take him away when, to his shock, the woman suddenly kissed Sunghoon. He was so stunned that he froze in place, unable to process what he was seeing. His heart hurt even more when the woman suddenly sat on Sunghoon’s lap. But what shattered him the most was that Sunghoon didn’t even push her away—he didn’t resist at all.

Jake was so dazed by what he witnessed that he didn’t even realize that Jungwon had already stepped in and was now arguing with the woman, causing a commotion. Everything happened quickly, but eventually, they all managed to leave. One of their seniors took them home since the two were drunk, another was out of it, and Jungwon was so furious that no one could even talk to him.
