"Shit" Xiao said. You tried to look anywhere but at him. You suddenly turned around and walked towards Kazuha and Shinobu.

"Y/n, this is probably the time to talk about it" Shinobu said. You turned to her quickly, seeing Xiao getting closer.

"I just told you and Kazuha and I'm not doing this today. We also have class so let's go!" you whispered with panic in your voice. You started walking again.

"Wrong way!" Shinobu said and you stopped.

"I knew that!" you said and turned around while holding a hand over your eyes so you wouldn't see Xiao's cold glare.

Xiao pov:

I looked at her figure as it got smaller and smaller. Giving out a sigh I looked at Kazuha who looked confused.

"What?" I asked.

"There is a problem," he said, making me look at the ceiling.

"Yeah there is. You talked to Y/n" I said side eyeing Kazuha. He held up one hand.

"I can explain, but I'll do that on our way to class. Come on" he said and walked the opposite way of the two girls. I followed him quietly as he told me.

We sat in the classroom waiting for the teacher to arrive. Kazuha had told me what Y/n had said, but not the whole story. Just the part about breaking into my house. He thought that it was the most important part since it was about me. I sat next to him quietly.

"That's her story apparently. Sorry Xiao, it didn't look like she was lying. She seemed very upset while she was telling her side of the story. It's up to you if you want to listen to her or not '' Kazuha said and looked at me. I just looked at the desk in front of me while my arms were crossed. What can I say? I knew it was impossible for her to be in the hall and then in my backyard. But why did it look like her? Kazuha might be right. I should talk to Y/n.

Y/n pov:

You couldn't focus. You sat next to Shinobu with your head low. What is this class? (it was math)...

You had to ask Shinobu about a solution all the time, making her sigh all the time. You groaned.

"I hate math," you mumbled. Shinobu heard and sat back in her chair.

"I know. You suck at it too" she said, making you glare at her. She shrugged.

"The truth hurts, sorry" she said. You banged your head loudly on the desk.

"Ow" you said but didn't move. You started to think about what kind of conversation you would have with Xiao. It just made you sigh. Yeah sorry I broke into your house. I didn't know my fake friends played me! You started to groan. I suck.

"Stop Doing that, the teacher is staring" you heard Shinobu say. You looked up a little and saw professor Capitano glare at you. You never lifted your head up faster. you started to look at the math problem and frowned. You heard someone chuckle and looked behind you seeing Kunikuzushi looking at you. You made a face to him and looked at the paper again.

"Why is this so hard?" you mumbled. Shinobu side eyed you.

"Here, try to look as if you are looking at your own paper" she whispered while she mixed her papers with yours. It looked messy so it was easy. You tried to make it not so obvious that you looked at her paper.

After class ended you rushed out to take a breath. Shinobu walked behind you and sighed.

"I'll teach you math. You suck" she said. You stared at her.

"I teach Itto too so it's cool. We have tutoring around six pm" she said and you frowned.

"Do I have to?" you asked. Shinobu looked at you while tilting her head.

"Do you want to fail math? If not then come to the tutoring. We have it in the library" she said and started walking away. You gaped and started running after her.

"I'm sorry. I'll come" you said behind her.

The school day ended. You sat on a bench outside. Students would apparently come here to study, play games or hang out. Shinobu told you about this place. She dropped you off before going to the dorms so you would get your mind off things. The whole way you tried to remember the paths. The sun was shining on your face.

"What is better than the warm sun on your face" you said while your eyes were closed not noticing the person near you.

"Maybe being honest?" someone said, making you jump. You looked around you seeing a man with blue hair and an eyepatch. You looked at him with wide eyes. Oh no...

He sat next to you and closed his eyes.

"Y/n, I knew I remember that name" he said. The only thing you could do was stare. How is he here?!

"So you lied about your age too," he said. You couldn't move. He opened the eye that was seen and looked at you.

"I could've ended up in jail," he said. You looked away.

"You should've done more research," you said back. He chuckled.

"Do I look like a cop to you?" he said and you looked at him. He looked at you seriously.

"I bought an underaged person an alcoholic drink.." he said. He seemed to be thinking for a bit. You sighed deeply.

"I'm sorry I lied," you said. You saw him raising an eyebrow.

"Wow, is that all you've got to say? I started to like you that day, just so you know" he said and sat up.

"I feel so disgusted with myself," he said. You could feel the guilt fill your bones. You didn't know what to say. He sighed deeply.

"You know, I thought it was something wrong with me because you ran away that night, but now I know," he said. You closed your eyes. Shit.

"When I saw you walking up the stage I recognized you immediately. And your silence just proves that it was you" he said. What was his name again? You could feel him looking at you.

"I've never felt so sick in my stomach at that moment" he said while standing up. Right, his name.....

"I hope it made you happy," he said looking at you. He started to walk away from you.

"Kaeya" you said and he stopped. He turned and looked at you with cold eyes.

"I'm sorry," you said. He chuckled and started walking again, leaving you. You looked at the grass beneath your feet.

You sat outside for almost an hour, thinking about the past. Why was I like that? Why was I an idiot? You could feel the anxiety growing in you. Your breathing got faster and faster with every minute passing by. You didn't hear the footsteps approaching you.

"Y/n" you heard someone say and looked up. The same boy that hated you looked into your eyes. Dark hair with teal undertones, golden eyes with a sharp gaze. He stood in front of you with his hands in his pockets.

"Alatus"
