Sloan's POV
4 years later
"If you're going my way! I'm going to ride it all night long!" I sat on the couch and I watched as my mate danced around the living room with our son, Jonathan.
Cars playing in the background, and dancing to their favorite song.
It was moments like these that made me look back on the past years. And only happiness and contentment filled my chest.
Jonathan was already two, which was crazy enough in itself. He's gotten so big so quickly that I haven't been able to keep up. He was my twin for sure, in all aspects. He looked like me, acted like me, and was a tiger like me. It was like Carter didn't even give birth to him.
I will say the one thing he did get from his dad is his beautiful green eyes. And I suppose his love for Cars.
I watched as Carter picked him up in his arms and he smiled at our kid and I was overcome by emotion. So much love, even after all these years I was still madly in love with him.
So much has happened for us, and things only got better. Carter and I moved back to Rena and Danielle's pack, and in a turn of events they decided to give the pack over to him. So now Carter was the Alpha and I was technically the Luna...which I didn't mind.
The Christmas we exchanged our rings we came back to the house and I found out that it was remodeled. He added three bedrooms and our plan is still to fill them up with pups within the next few years. But we're not in a rush. We want to enjoy our time as a little family of three.
Carter also has gotten closer with his siblings, the relationship stronger than ever. They talk every day all day. It also helped that Sean and his mate moved and joined our pack. He and his mate live a few houses down, with their daughter Mai.
The Mickayas however are all spread all over the country just like how I thought they would be. Ambrose lives the closest to me. He and Turner running the pack together. Ezra stayed home and is taking over our home pack with his mate...Finnick. Go figure.
Florence and her mate spend most of their time in the mountains, steering clear of humans and other packs. But we understand, given how Tate was locked away for so long. Delany and Eli were seventeen now and were planning on going to college in the human city which I of course protested.
None of us were happy that they wanted to leave, but a friend of mine, Darren. A fellow tiger is a professor at a college in Chicago. The closest human city to Carter and I. I convinced the twins to apply there so I knew there was another shifter keeping an eye on them, protecting them.
Crispin and Dieter were no longer a sore subject. They decided to split, and no longer be mated but still be together, just to break the curse. And it worked. They of course had to seek out a witch to confirm there would be no repercussions but it worked. Once it broke Crispin headed here and took Carter into his arms. Finally able to say everything he couldn't. They spent hours crying to each other.
Now when you look at the Jafir family...all you see is happiness.
And that's all I felt, happiness.
"Come on Daddy! Dance!" Jonathan ran over and grabbed my hands. His bright green eyes smiled back at me.
"Yeah, come on Daddy, dance." Carter teased and smiled at me. I picked Jonathan in my arms and he giggled. I took a step forward to Carter and pulled him by the waist with my free hand.
"I love you." I pressed a kiss to his lips and he returned it.
"I love you."
"EW! You kissed Daddy!" Jonathan whined out and Carter and I both looked at him.
"And I love you, little bean." I started tickling him and his giggles filled the air as Carter and I flooded his face with kisses.
And to think this all started with "Speed. I am Speed."
