Kou stood on his bed as he put a poster on the wall beside it, his mind kept going back to the stone he had seen in the forest. "Kou. School starts in an hour are you seriously still unpacking?" Teru's voice asked from behind him as the light from the window lit up the room.

"Oh, sorry Teru," Kou said as he got off of the bed. Teru sighed and walked off, leaving Kou to roll his eyes as he headed down the stairs for school after getting ready.

The hours seemed to tick by for an eternity, and when the bell finally rung Kou jumped up and ran out after gathering his stuff. Kou ran down the stairs and stopped as he was about to go onto the rickety old bus in front of him.

Kou walked down the paved sidewalk as he walked towards his home, the wind blowing coldly against his neck. Kou shivered as he continues, the thick green trees moving from far out to closer to the path. When they were just a few feet away Kou stopped. "...Teru would know if I walked through just to see what that was would he?..." Kou asked himself, unsure, before taking a step off the path and onto the grass that crunched under his shoes.

He walked until he got to the first tree and took a deep, long, breath. "It's now or never." Kou spoke quietly before stepping his foot past the tree and into the deep black shadows created by the large forest.
