"Mom?...Where are we going?" Mitsuba asked as he looked around, the pouring rain made it hard to figure out where they were. His ears could hear the splash of shoes in puddles and the roar of pouring rain.

"It doesn't matter you brat." The woman who had a tight grip on his wrist spat as she tugged him further along until the said of boots on pavement was no longer heard and was instead replaced by the sound of shoes on wet grass and mud.

As they continued to walk eventually Mitsuba could see enough to find trees all around them and towering over them, making the rain lighten around them enough to see things that were just the raindrops. "Mom...why are we in the for—"

A loud slap could be heard as the woman glared at him. "Stop talking you mistake. It doesn't matter why we're here because only your father and I are leaving."

"Only you a—" Mitsuba's sentence was interrupted by a fit of coughing after his father punched him in the gut making Mitsuba fall to his knees.

Kick after kick after kick sounded and Mitsuba laid on the muddy and bloodied forest floor as his bleary eyes looked up at his parents' eyes that once held warmth and love but now held nothing but coldness and distain. "Father...please..."

His father scoffed as he raised a gun, pointing directly as Mitsuba's head. Mitsuba's hair had fallen out of its bun, falling against the mud that stained his skin and covering one of his eyes, while the visible one widened in fear despite being swollen.

A gunshot sounded before the sound of footsteps and they grew further and further until they were completely silent. Mitsuba clung to life as he crawled through the forest before falling down a hill and landing in a small patch of flowers with two small stones in it.

Deliriously Mitsuba hummed a tune as he rolled onto his back, looking up at the sky as rain poured down onto him. "A whole garden of flowers and my name etched on a rock...all this could've been avoided all I wanted was to talk..." Mitsuba sang softly before his vision went black and he lay motionless.

"...Why would they do that to me...I was their son!" Mitsuba yelled as Kou saw his faded and transparent legs slowly turning more visible and actually making an indent on the grass.

"Mit-"

"I had a boyfriend! So what?! That doesn't mean they should sew my mouth shut!" Mitsuba yelled as his torso became more solid as well.

"Mitsu-"

"And just because I took out the thread they wanted to—"

"MITSUBA! Take a breath please!" Kou interrupted as Mitsuba became fully solid.

"Take a breath? Why? I'm not a-" He stopped himself and realized that instead of feeling nothing around him he could feel things against his skin and clothes. "I'm alive..." He said as he took in breaths.

Kou smiled as she sat on his knees and hugged Mitsuba, holding him close. "Welcome back, Mitsu," Kou said as he smiled like a dorm. "I'm glad you're alive aga-"

Kou was interrupted by Mitsuba's lips pressing against his own in a soft kiss. "I know you are Kou." He said smiling softly as Kou's face was a beautiful shade of scarlet. Hanako smiled sadly as he left, deciding to let the two be.

"Where'd the other one go?" Nene asked as she looked away from the two.

"Hanako?" Kou asked as he looked at where he had been. "Why'd he leave?"
