Kou, Nene, and Mitsuba walked through the forest calling out and looking for Hanako. Eventually Kou found him sitting by a river, and he walked over to him and sat beside him as the river flowed careful and gently through the forest.

"You left after we reminded Mitsuba of how he died...."

"And then you two kissed, I left after that. I wanted to give you both privacy," Hanako said, his voice no longer energetic but cool and monotone as he watched the river flow through the river. "Oh, and I'm sorry I lied about why I'm still a ghost," Hanako smiled as he looked at Kou while spinning a stone between his fingers.

"What?" Kou asked, confusion clear as day in his voice.

"Ghosts only have one thing to remind them of how they died, I remember how I died on my own. Several decades ago. But I stayed a ghost...I wasn't sure why and then Mitsuba became a ghost and...I'm not sure it felt like I should protect him from something," Hanako said as he looked at the pale white stone in his fingers that pulled a small smile onto his face.

"It could have been from loneliness or getting hurt somehow," Hanako continued as he slid the rock into his pocket once again. "I'm still not sure why I stayed. I just know I cared about him and now he has you to keep him safe." He smiles sadly as he closes his eyes and levitates ever so slightly over the ground so he doesn't fall through. "So now, I think my life is done permanently this time..."

"No! No you shouldn't just cease to exist!" Kou shouted as he looked at Hanako with worry in his eyes.

"Why? If I do I'll see my brother again, you and Mitsuba are going to be happy with whatever you do at lea—" Hanako was interrupted by Mitsuba hugging him after stealthily sneaking up on him. "How are you touching m-ugh!" Hanako grunted at Mitsuba held him tighter, being deceitfully stronger than he had seen.

"You're not going to vanish into nothing!" Mitsuba yelled although it sounded more like a plea.

"Mitsuba- Mitsuba! You're chocking him!" Kou said frantically as he pulled Mitsuba off of Hanako who fell to the ground instead of through it.

"Wait...I...why am I not floating?" Hanako asked confused. "Oh no. No no no. I'm human again?!"

Mitsuba smiled happily and hugged him again, making the both of them fall onto the forest floor. "Eh what the heck," Kou said smiling before hugging both of them.

"Wha-but, Tsukasa! I-I need to see him again!" Hanako said frantically as tears built up in his eyes.

"Okay, then let's find where he died and if he's a ghost maybe it'll bring him back like it did for you two!" Kou suggested before standing proudly.

"Okay...then come on we have to go to the catacombs. Oh, and maybe bring Nene she might be lost in the woods.
