The art is not mine

Have you ever had that dream where all you feel is peace. All your problems I'm the world go away and you just feel what's around you. The soft yet rough grass below you, the gentle breeze tickling your body and brushing through the leaves, the soft chirping of the creatures around you. Everything seems in balance. All moving in synce with the mighty heartbeat of Eywa
The forest, this beautiful yet unforgiving place. It holds many wonders and neverending adventures. It is impossible for someone to ever be bored in such a place as this. The forest grants you many blessings. Although it can also take the things you love most. I would know.
I have been here for all my life. My parents died when I was young, but I never knew my clan. I have never tried to go to another clan. It doesn't feel right. I have a connection to the world around me. Although I'm not sure if it's just me or not.
Being without a clan may sound sad and lonely, but believe it or not, I'm never alone. I have lots of friends, just not ones that are navi. My closest friend is my ikran. I bonded with him years ago, and he has never left my side since.
Just then, I heard a screech behind me. The leaves were moving, and the animals that were once out were now running for cover in fear of what's coming. I didn't have to worry about it because I knew. The sound was familiar to me. As soon as I heard a thud, i opened my eyes to see him. Khane.
"Hello, my beautiful friend."
Hearing my voice, he purred purred and rubbed his head into my chest.
Khane was a deep purple colored with green tipped wings. His entire body was covered in intricate black designs, and his eyes were so mysterious that anyone could get lost in them. Although he may look fierce, he is actually as clingy as they come. There is hardly a moment where he isn't doing something my attention.
As I softly pet his head, he moves his antenna toward me, making me let out a soft chuckle.
Knowing he wants to fly, I connect my quene and climb onto his back. Once I get my footing situated, he takes off into the sky.
I have always loved flying. Feeling the winds blow through my hair brings me peace. I could feel the soft breath of khane and his wings moving as they glided us through the air. I relaxed because I knew he wouldn't let me fall. No matter what, khane would always be there to catch me. I felt secure and safe. I never wanted to come down.

Welp, there you have it. The first chapter is done. What do you guys think so far. Should the chapters be shorter or longer?? Anyways, this is just a start to see where I want the story to go, seeing as I have no plan. So far. If you have any questions or ideas, I'm totally willing to suggest and will try to answer anything I can.
