Y/n pov:

Well, that was terrible. It did not turn out how I wanted to at all. But when you live alone you don't get much entertainment so that was really funny to me.

After I ran off, I called khane back to take me home. I could tell he wasn't happy and shooed him off. That added on to his already sassy mood wasn't great. He landed in front of me with a big thud before turning his head away from me.

"Seriously, khane?! I can not do this right now they could still be chasing me!"

But of course, he didn't care. In fact, it almost seemed like he wanted me to get captured, seeing as he only responded with a huff and turned away.

My heart was still beating out of my chest as I looked around rapidly, worried they followed me to finish me off. I mean, I did threaten one of them.

'That was so stupid what was I thinking'

I knew I shouldn't have, but it did work. And I might have looked calm in doing it, but in reality, I was terrified about what they might do to me. I've never actually had to fight other navi before. In fact, the only one I had ever seen up close was neytiri. Being surrounded was unlike anything I experienced. Sure, I have had my fair share with animals, huge deadly ones at that, but this was different.

Still, I had to get on khane and get away before they find me again, though.

"Khane, please, big boy, you gotta let me on."

Once again, he turned me down this time but straightened up and looked forward.

'Oh, so you're gonna be like that. Fine'

"If you let me on, we can go flying tonight for as long as you want."

He immediately lets out a cheer and gets down so I can get on. After jumping on, I make the bond and fly off.

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Me and khane had gotten home right before Neytiri had shown up. She and Seze landed right next to us just as I was finishing unloading khans saddle.
As soon as she got off her ikran khane and seze started flying around and messing off. I smiled happily at the slight of them. They always had such a great friendship. I turned my attention back to my task at hand.

"Where have you been?" I asked

"I know. I know I'm sorry. I really did want to come earlier, but my mother tasked me with collecting herbs for healing. And I would have done it with you had he not told someone else to come with me. I tried coming after, but it seemed like it was my mother's sole duty to keep me at tree today an-"

"Neytiri, it is ok."

I went up and grabbed her shoulder, giving them a slight shake. I knew if I didn't stop her ranting soon, it would just continue forever.

"I was just wondering. I am not mad or anything."

She nodded in understanding. I decided I would just add on.

"Plus, it was nice getting a break from you,"

Of course, I said it sarcastically. I would never actually mean it. Neytiri knew that, and in response, she scoffed and shoved my shoulder while I laughed at her offended face.

I accidentally made the mistake of asking her how collecting went and that caused her to go onto a long tantrum about it. She was complaining about how she was so bored and she didn't want to do it. I didn't mind, though, because I was still cleaning different objects, now onto arrows. It was nice how much she could talk because I never liked the silence. Neytiri was always the talker she could go on and on for the longest time about the smallest of things. Not to mention, she is very opinionated.

And although it may not look like I was paying attention, I was. I try to be a good friend so as not to be ignored and dropped as a friend. One of the best ways to do that is to listen to what she says.

Once she is satisfied with her storytelling, we sit in silence for a minute.

"How way your day?" she said softly.

I didn't exactly want to tell her about what happened. I would just have to avoid it. Tell everything else. I started at the beginning, making sure to keep it simple.

"Well, I woke up, and then me and khane went hunting. But of course, he was being sassy today, so I had to send him home."

She chuckled lightly, and I continued.

" After that, I just went hunting for a while. Andddd, yup, that's about it... yeah, that's how my day went. "

Neytiri looked at me skeptically before nodding. The quiet that followed was different than before I could tell she had so many questions to ask. She knew I wasn't telling the whole story. Trying to avoid the questions, I stood up and walked towards my area.

I still don't know what to call it. It was like my home, but for some reason, it didn't feel right calling it that. It was just a random tree with a bed in it. My thoughts are interrupted by the question.

"What else?"

'Crap'

"What do you mean what else?"

'Oh, so that's what I respond with? Of course, i know what she is talking about. She knows I know'

She looked at me.

'And now I'm getting the disappointed look'

"You know what I'm talking about. What else happened today?"

"Ok, fine. I just didn't want to tell you because I knew you would freak out.
...Ummmm ok fine... a bunch of hunters almost killed me."

I mumbled the last part so she wouldn't hear.

"Y/n! Tell me what has happened. "

"A bunch of hunters almost killed me."

"WHAT!"

She immediately ran up to me, looking me over. Lifting my arms and circling me. Looking me over for injuries

"No, no, I'm ok. I got out." I reassured

"Tell me everything."

And so I did. I told her of how I followed the boy and how I was surrounded, and I tried to leave, but I tried to avoid telling her the part where I put a knife to someone's throat, but she wouldn't let me. I ended up telling her, and she just started laughing. Her laugh was contagious, and I started laughing too.

"Man, I knew you were great, but that was amazing!"

"I know I'm pretty good," I said dramatically, flipping my hair over my shoulders.

I don't know how much time passed when we were just messing around. Eventually, khane and seze landed right in front of us. Khane moving his head around towards me. I knew that it was his cashing in his bribe of riding however long he wanted to.

I looked over at Neytiri and smirked.

"Ready to ride?"
