Tsu'tey pov:
I don't even know what I was saying. I was mad, sure, but mostly annoyed. The fact that none of them saw a yerik was so annoying. We had been trying for weeks, but when someone started talking, I broke and yelled.
So that's what I'm doing right now. Yelling.
I ran out of things to say a while ago, so I was just rambling, but I think they were too scared to realise.
When I was finally finishing, I thought I heard a noise from behind me. I went silent, and for just a split second, there was a noise,
Laughing.
I wasn't loud, but I was definitely there. It stopped just after I finished talking.
I know my students heard it, too, because their ears picked up.
'Oh, so they have learned something,' I thought.
I looked at them before pulling at my bow and silently telling them to go from the sides.
We started moving forward, and it seemed like nothing was there. But I knew there was. I knew better. It's just that, whatever it is, it is really good at hiding.
As we kept walking toward the noise, I saw a small glimpse of a leg and yelled out, alerting everyone. We all rushed towards the person as they started running away. I could now see that it was a girl. She was moving too quickly for me to get any more detail on her, though.
Luckily, we were able to surround her before she started running, so we were able to stop her quickly.
She stopped running when she realised she was surrounded. She was looking around when I approached.
I was able to get a better look at her now.
Her skin was a deeper blue than normal, and she had long braided black hair. Her clothes were ragged but perfectly put together with different details added on. She didn't look like a normal navi. Her eyes were a deep yellow color.
I didn't miss the way her eyes were darting around, most likely looking for a way to escape.
Just as I was about to speak, she jumped and grabbed one of the students, Akru. He was never careful enough. She pulled out a knife and put it up against his throat before saying,
"Let me go now, or I kill him."
He voice was demanding but extremely calm.
The students all pulled out their bows or knifes and pointed them at her
She looked at me, waiting for my answer. I couldn't just let her kill him, so I reluctantly told them to lower their weapons.
The woman took slow steps back, still holding a knife to Akru. Once she was almost out of sight, she pushed him forward and ran to who knows where.
Akru ran toward us faster than I had ever seen him run. Looking around, I saw how everyone looked freaked out, so I called the direhorse, and we headed to the home tree defeated.
On the ride home, the same thoughts came coming back to me. I was curious about her. About why she was out there. She seemed feral and looked like she would kill anyone.
I just hope if we run back into her again, we can just end it.
Sorry that it took me so long to update. I'm going to be fully honest. I forgot that I even had a story. It totally left my mind that it was even a thing. It's not a great chapter because I was just trying to get it out for you guys. Sorry it's so short, too.
