How it Ends

Laughter

Y/n Pov:

It was dark as me and Neytiri rode. We flew along the top of the trees, letting the wind flow around us. The only thing kighting our way was the nature around us.

We had no destination in mind, just taking us wherever our hearts desired. And our hearts took us many places. We flew around mountains, waterfalls, and gigantic trees laughing the entire time.

By now, we had been flying for a better part of the night. Khane really wanted to fly, and sense I did promise I wanted him to fly until he was exhausted. In other words, I didn't want to deal with a whinny ikran when I got back home.

"We should probably head back soon. You know as well as me that it can be dangerous this late!"
Neytiri yelled over the wind.

"Yes, I will soon, but I just want to make sure khane is tired. I do not want him to complain when we get back. "

We both smiled at this.

I continued, "You can head back if you want. I don't think we're going to be out much longer."

"You and I both know I would not leave you out her by yourself Y/n"

I looked out in the distance and saw a tree standing out.

"How about we get to that tree, and then we can go back?"

I saw Neytiri look out at the tree. She contemplated her answer before saying,

"Okay, that will work. But we head back right after, right?"

"Yes, of course. Now come on I be I will beat you there!"

Laughter swallowed up any silence as we sped to the tree. Neytiri was just slightly behind me when we arrived, and of course, I had to rub it in her face.

"HA, I beat youuu! Just like I said, I woulddd!"

"Whatever, you got a head start anyway." She huffed in reply

'Yes, I did'

"No, I did not! I am offended. You would even think I would cheat!"

She just smiled at me, shaking her head. As she was about to open her mouth, she was cut off by shouting below us.

We both looked down only to see the filthy sky people.

'UGH'

Before we could even process it, there were bullets flying our way. Neytiri hissed in anger and fear before yelling to run. I did not hesitate before turning around and attempting to fly off.

Key word: attempting. There were bullets whizzing past me. They were everywhere, and khane was trying his best to dodge them, but you can only do so much when you are completely surrounded.

I feel a sharp burning pain in my leg, causing me to scream out in pain. I look down to see blood gushing out of my calf.

'Those bastards shot me! OW it HURTS!'

While looking at my leg, I lost focus, causing khane to be distracted, thus not being able to doge the bullets. I made the discovery that he couldn't as I was falling through the air.

Turns out while I was looking at my leg, there was another bullet coming straight toward my side. There was another wave of intense pain and I was flung forward by the force of it. Causing me to disconnect from khane and start my descent to the ground.

"Y/N!!"

I heard Neytiri screaming put to me, but there was nothing she could do. She was too far away, and I was almost to the ground. She flew through the air, ready to grab me off the ground the second she could.

I was lucky enough to slow my fall off a few leaves and vines. Not very well, though, because as I hit the ground I my breath was taken away from me. I heaved for air, looking up into the sky.

Surrounding me were beautiful glowing plants, and I was so disappointed I couldn't inspect them all.

No, unfortunately, I was instead lying on the ground with two bullet wounds, a definite concussion, the air locked out of me, and a broken left arm.

Oh yeah abou that, I landed way wrong on my arm, and I'm pretty sure it's broken. Now I can't see for sure cause I'm no doctor, but by the way, it is bending unnaturally. I am pretty confident it is.

I can hear the sky people running toward me as fast as they could on their little legs. I could also hear the cries of khane and the flapping of wings coming from seze, and Neytiri made her way down to me.

I couldn't see anything anymore. I think I passed out, but I'm not too sure about that. All I know is that my vision was becoming blurry before completely disappearing.

And slowly, as I law there, the rest of my senses disappeared too. The last thing I heard was the screech of seze as she landed beside me.

Neytiri Pov:

I jumped off seze as fast as I could. Seeing y/n laying motionless terrified me

"Y/N!"

I leaned over her, but she made no movement. I could hear the skypeople coming, and I knew I had to get her away as fast as I could. I just didn't want to hurt her more than she already is.

'You just have to do it. You got this Neytiri'

I placed my arms under her. One arm supporting her legs, the other was under her back. She let out a pained whimper as she was moved, and I felt my ears go down even further hearing it.

I set her on top of seze before climbing off and talking off into the air
Meeting khane, who shockingly listened when I told him to stay put.

"Khane, let's go!"

He followed me with zero hesitation once he saw an injured y/n in my arms.

I was flying to her house as I was looking her over. I might be good at healing, but I am certainly not this good. She had two bullet wounds, a broken arm, and definitely head trauma. I couldn't fix this.

I do know who could, but I didn't want to betray her trust while she was unconscious. What kind of friend would I be.

Hearing another pained groan come from below me, I knew I had no choice. I had to take her there...

To my mother...

To my clan.
