Walking down the beautiful tile floor or the oddly placed red bricks. Mexican flag here and there as well as the colorful banners were spread around. My feet wandered as I spoke on the phone.

" yes I will be there tonight, and of course I'll let him know" I giggled out

She nearly cackled at the mention of him on the other side of the phone as I could only smile at her reaction. " don't get ahead of yourself Anastashia" She sighed and we both heard a shout from her side. She mumbled a quick goodbye as I knew it was our manager.

I didn't question her quick hang up and continued on my walk. People seemed to slowly flow in as the wind finally settled down.
The heat though started to pick up knowing the clothes I wore would make it worse. Sighing I slowly walked to the nearby ice cream cart and got something simple. Strawberry cheesecake with sprinkles.

Content with my buy I continued my walk. Shops welcoming customers in, the small barks of passing dogs. The laughter of others. Smiling I thought of my new apartment and lifestyle, feeling proud of everything. Stopping momentarily at a spot where a tree struck out of a hip height circle. Setting my purse as I enjoyed my ice cream and looked for my phone. Looking through the notifications, one read in big words.

Those very words I wrote to my self 4 years ago. I had almost forgotten. ' four years, and I've accomplished so much'

About to unlock my phone to check on my schedule for today I heard a strange shout.
A man yelled out honey to someone with a near thick accent. Though I didn't pay mind to it as it often happened to others. Suddenly feeling arms wrapped around my waist with a tight squeeze I nearly yelped, but a hand came to cover but quickly let go.

" I'm sorry sweetheart but pretend we're dating" he rushed out His words only brought me more confusion and shock.

" sweetheart, I didn't expect you to be here, you weren't answering my messages" he spoke hugging me tighter as if encouraging me to say something" r-right sorry none of those messages are going through"

" This Is the Women!?" Both of our heads spun to the voice. My jaw nearly dropped at the sight of the woman. Her skin was fair seeing tattoos on her thighs because of her white fit skirt. A golden satin cropped buttoned shirt. Gold necklaces on her and wrist, even her earrings. Beautiful long black hair and ice cold eyes. She seemed to be older but nothing over 40s with her slender body. A small dog carried in her arms as it yelped at her out burst.

The woman's eyebrows nearly touching and mouth clenched. I could feel each word and dagger thrown to me." Mother, I-i wanted to show you who she was but we weren't ready" he spoke once more almost annoyed. Though I was still hooked on how tightly he's holding me and the furious mother in front of me.She got closer as each step she took made me sink into the male. " I-I'm sorry madam i-we didn't-"

Immediately she shut me up by speaking over me
" She's not even your type! You're lying" she seethes through her teeth. Quickly my face scrunched up at her as I held the males arm as the other was my ice cream now melting. It felt like a punch to the gut, and what makes it worse it's from a complete stranger. " ma'am-"

" She's! Way better for you!" She shouts and pointing behind her. I look over and immediately see another gorgeous woman. My eyes widened at her as she seems unsure of what to do.

Shinny brunette hair, popping green eyes, complimented her tan skin. Another necklace of gold on her accompanied by rings. A black satin dress with patters of daisy's. Her curves brought out by the dress, even in a simple way. Suddenly the male spoke in a language I didn't understand. He pushed me back behind him yet held my hand. The mother began to talk back simply hearing the anger in her tone.
