Slumped on the couch my mind quiet as the show entertained my mind. The dull night, nor our usual loud street disturbed me. My body wrapped in a thick blanket of warmth, a bowl of food just in front of me. It was calming. For the past few months nothing but rehearsals and spending time on my self. My feet and back ached yet I didn't take a single pill for the pain.My eyes felt heavy as the voice of the tv started to becoming mumbles to gibberish, to nothing. Feeling myself sink into the world of dreams till a disruption of my phone ringing awoke me. Opening my eyes to find the episode in a different part. Reaching for my phone and answered.

" hello?"My voice sounding weak to the bone that I cringed.

' SERINA! COME HOME NOW PLEASE!' I shot up startled by her screams. I could hear the background with more screams and shouts. The sound of things crashing and breaking.

' he's here! He's here and wants to hurt us please don't let him. Please come back I'm scared—' She went quiet. Everything did.

" HEY!" I shout yet no one responded to me. My hands started to tremble barely holding my phone.

' papi porfa...por favor no me lastimes' she pleads

Her cries loud and desperate, hearing him tell her to hang up as she did. My body froze for a moment before my mind took over. Sprinting to get my shoes and rushing down the steps. Not caring how I looked. Getting into my car and speeding all the way. Driving to the home I desperately wanted to leave. The rush of adrenaline and fear. The overwhelming feeling of seeing them lifeless on the floor, kept a grip on me. It would be my fault. I left them. It would be blood on my hands.

Pulling up I saw the lights all on, as his car was at the drive way. The house looked brittle and losing its bright yellow color. The yard cement fence still stood strong around the house but inside was nearly deteriorating. Hearing another shout I shot up out the car and sprinted in. I froze.

The sight of my little sister genesis, on the ground her head bleeding. My father's arms wrapped around my mother's throat as my other sister held my father back as much as she could. Rushing in and pulling them all apart, I stood in front of him. His dark eyes glared with murderous intent.

" What The Hell! Estás LOCO?!" I shouted, I pushed him hard as my body trembled. He grunts as a hard strike against my cheek. The blooming heat spread across me as I took a step back.

" You're nothing! Just like your mother it's your fault! I would have been fine if you didn't intervene that day. I Would Have Had The Money To Leave You And This Shit Hole!" He bark

A sudden shove from behind me as my mother shouted in my ear. The constant pushing and screams. I didn't even notice the blood running down my arm. Tears leaking from my eyes. Suddenly the grip on my face made me freeze in shock.

" Do Something!?" Veronica shouts

Nodding as I saw mother screaming all over again. It was just like before why I wanted to leave. The threats said if any one else left the house. Hearing sirens from outside when seeing my father jump at me with a knife. Pushing us both back and rushed to lock our self in the room. He pounds on the door as Veronica cried onto the bed. He didn't stop, not even if his knife became dull and bent as he stabbed at the wood. Not even if he nicked me a bit, not even if he heard my screams to stop him.

I didn't do anything. I was a little girl. I didn't know anything? How could I? Seeing a strange man eyeing my house as my father sat on the couch. My father had lied to the man saying he had a sick wife and two little girls. He made her sick. He made mother sick in the head with all those random pills and constant bruises. Almost killing his youngest daughter and threatening me to stay quiet. That I didn't exist. That I'm nothing. I wasn't part of this family. I was a mistake. No one had blue eyes or large curly hair. He caused all this pain and still wants to continue.
