___

Looking at the cameras inside the building, it was completely empty. No lights turned on and not a single movement, but one. It was past 12 in the morning, yet she stayed there. Noticing her beautiful curls were stripped from their vibrant color. Instead they were a copper ginger, still they looked beautifully on her.

Turning my phone off as I went out the car and calmly walked to and into the building. I couldn't wait anymore for her to get out. I couldn't stop my self from wanting to be in her presence again. To know her every thoughts and feelings. I wanted to feel her soft caramel skin again. Watching how her lips moved as she spoke to me, or the constant eye contact she held. But I knew deep down today, it wouldn't end like that.

Entering the room quietly, the song slow yet strong to the lyrics and beat. One dim light on her,  her movements were sharp and hypnotic, all for the wrong reasons. I watched as she danced her heart and soul as if no one could see this side of her. No one could ever see the real emotions she's holding in.

Shit I don't want to break her focus

Debating for a moment seeing her movement becoming looser and more fluidly. Softly I knocked on the wall and rested on it. Her winter blue eyes glared me down through the mirror. Oddly the sensation of excitement ran through me.

She stared for a moment seeing them falter to becoming soft, almost as if she was calling to me before returning back. She walked to her speaker turning it off and started to pack, and I let her, not disturbing more of her peace. I watched her walk towards me gripping her bag tightly. Her stern face and eyes glued to me kept me in a trance. Thinking she was going to stop but her shoulder bumped a bit harsher to my side making me hiss in pain. I felt the slight blood seep out of my bandaged wounds.

Yet I followed her out while she closed up. She stared to walk down the street but I jogged over to her and stood in front of her. This time she wouldn't look at me.

" Serina I'm sorry...let me drive you home" I softly spoke. I noticed her body shake a bit as she stepped back. " I'm not being in the same car as you. I can walk just like I used too" she spat

Yet I heard the slight pain in her voice, she never let that quiver out, not even when she cried that night. " please, I want you to be safe at least. Get in the car." I reasoned

" I was safer walking alone than being near you" she scoffed her eyes now meeting with me, yet what she said was true. " Serina, just get in the car. I need to talk to you. Just get in and—"

" I said no! Next time find someone else that will put up with your shit" She nearly stormed past me but I grabbed her quickly. She beat at my back and flares around, till we got to the car. She sat silently and closed in on her self.

Shit this is getting harder. Serina please forgive me.

With the awkward air even the driver as he put the music up. Still she stayed quiet even when we arrived at her building and up to her apartment. I sat on the couch as she slammed her door closed and heard her moving around. Thinking she locked her self in I was going to get up but the door opened up showing me my bag. My eyes soften as she throws it at me. Catching it as she gestured to the door.

" At least let me explain something. I can't leave you here like this?" I bargained

" you already did! What's the point now? You left in a night like that? That was crushing. So get out—"

I shot up and walked over to her. I wanted to defend my self and tell her the truth. She stepped back hitting the wall as I stood a few feet from her giving her room.
