6. Unexpected Encounter

You looked up at him and both of you got surprised when you saw each other.

"Y/n??"

You couldn't even utter a word. Just standing there in shock with widened eyes.

"Hoseok.." You mumbled under your breath.

"Hansung-ah! Are you ok?" Namjoon came running towards you as he saw what happened. "Ah all your clothes got-"

"Hansung??" Hoseok said with frowned eyebrows.

Namjoon looked at him and then you. He thought maybe you know him so he was waiting for your response. You got panicked, didn't know what to do and how to handle the situation.

"A..ah-..Hoseok!! He is my cousin, Hoseok"

"What the heck happened to your voice?" Hoseok said, making a weird face.

That's it. Now you were loosing it. Your mind went totally blank. It felt like it's over. Everything is over.

"Namjoon-ah! Can I have some alone time with my brother?? Please.." You said with pleading eyes.

"Um..ok but your clothes-" He was speaking, pointing towards your sweatshirt but you stopped him in middle. "Oh please I can take care of myself! You go now!!"

You slightly raised your voice by which you felt instant regret.

"Yeah, fine. I will leave now" You could see the sadness on his face.

But you couldn't do anything at that time. You were afraid that Hoseok is gonna mess it up if you don't stop him right now. And then everything will be over for you.

You watched Namjoon leaving from there while feeling guilty. Then you looked back at Hoseok and grabbed his hand. You took him to your room. This time you made sure that you have locked the door properly.

"Now may I know what the actual fvck is going on?? Why are you here?? In boy's hostel?? All dressed up as a boy!? And Hansung?? Is that your name!? Y/n I'm so fvcking confused right now!!"

He spoke without any pause.

"I know I know! That's why I have brought you here, in my room. So that I can make you understand everything"

You took a deep breath and explained him everything from the beginning.

"Why..a-are you not saying anything??"

You asked as he was silent after hearing your story.

"I can't believe this. Y/n, are you serious!?"

"Hobi, I know it's wrong but-"

"But what!?? What do you even think? You will study here, pretending to be a boy without letting anyone know?? This is so stupid, Y/n! I didn't expect this from you!"

"So what else can I even do!?? I've already told you that I had no other option! I did this for my parents, Hobi. I did this for eomma and appa. You know that I hate disappointing them, right? They were so happy while sending me here to study. I'm aware that what I'm doing is risky as hell but I want to do it. I know it's nearly impossible but at least I can try"

Hoseok shook his head and went to sit on the edge of the bed. You realised that it's gonna be really hard to make him understand.

"Hobaaa! You know you're my favorite cousin, right? I love you so much! Please help me. I've started this so now you have to help me to continue this"

You said, sitting next to him.

"Why?? Why should I help you? It's your fault that you chose to come in this hostel. You're maybe good at acting but I can't act like you. I will laugh at the moment you start acting like a boy"

"What the- As if I knew that you're gonna be here. And you're my brother! You have to do this for me!"

"Oh well, first of all, I'm not allowing you to stay here in between all the boys and-"

"Oh please! They don't even know that I'm a girl. And I'm not asking for your permission, ok! Please Hobi, can't you listen to your sweet sister for once!??"

You said with puppy eyes which Hoseok can't resist at all. Anyhow you conviced him to help you and act along. But he was still against your decision.

*sigh* Fine, your secret is safe with me"

"YAY!! YOU'RE THE BEST BROTHER EVER"

You squealed and jumped on him for a hug. He giggled at your cuteness.

"Ok so from now, you're not my sister, Y/n but my brother, Hansung" He said and you both laughed.

"Anyways, you have to bring me a sprite as mine got spilled because of you"

"Hww! You were the one who was walking with your eyes closed"

"First of all, my eyes were wide open. And second, it's not my fault if the creature in front of me is too small"

As you didn't have anything to say in your defence, you started throwing your hands at him.

"Yah! Stop it, you idiot!!

Anyways, you changed your clothes and left your room with Hoseok.

Time skips

You both were sitting in canteen along with rest of the boys.

"So you had no idea that your brother is also taking admission in this hostel?"

Jin asked, taking a huge bite of his burger.

"No, not at all! We live in different cities and don't contact that much. Just occasionally, we call or text each other. But he is the best cousin among all the cousins I have"

You replied, slightly getting excited that you met Hoseok here. You looked at him only to see his trying not to laugh face.

You rolled your eyes knowing that he's laughing at your fake voice. Ignoring him, you just continued eating your food.

In between, you glanced at Namjoon, who was quitely eating his meal. Again you felt a wave of guilt washing over you, remembering what happened earlier. You were just looking at him with a pout, thinking of how to apologize.

But again, he caught you staring at him. He raised his eyebrows, looking at you in a questioning way. You came back to your senses and shook your head as 'no' at him. Then he moved his eyes to your plate and signalled you to keep eating. You continued eating while your cheeks heated up by this small interaction with him. You internally smiled, having Namjoon in your mind.
