Chapter 7: Again?

I was on my way to the bus stop until I saw Leo leaning on the pole.

"Hey how come you haven't been answering my calls?"

"What calls?"

"I called you like 10 times earlier"

"Oh sorry I didn't get them" I was telling the truth, I swear I never got any calls.

"Oh ok, how are you?"

"I'm doing okay, how are u"

"I'm doing good"

We paused for a moment.

"are you mad at me?" He said out of the blue.

"No? Why do you keep asking that? Last night and now, right now."

"I just have a feeling you are."

"Well you're feeling other things. Because I'm not mad I promise"

Why don't you just say it Rory? What's stopping you?

"it's nothing okay? Just drop it" I coldly stated. You know you're gonna regret that later Rory.

"Okay. Well if you need to talk to me you can, don't feel like u can't talk to me okay?" He kindly offered, making me feel slightly bad about my attitude earlier.

"Why couldn't you just tell him?" Scarlett asked me as we sat next to each other doing a lab for science.

"My body just wouldn't physically let me tell him even though I really wanted to, but everytime the topic was brought up I would give him a hard time."

"Hm well if you need help with anything let me know you can always talk to me"

"Funny you say that, Leo said the same thing" I chuckled softly.

We continued our lab until it was time to leave. Me and Scarlet were walking in the hallway on the way to the bathroom when we heard Isabella talking with her friends about how she wants to sabotage me and Leo's relationship.

"They aren't even a great couple" her friend boldly stated, with a few others agreeing.

"He knows where home is, and that's all I'm gonna say" Isabella said and walked out.

Scarlett stops me and waits for the rest of them to follow Isabella. "Hey are u okay?" She softly asks me.

"Yes I'm okay, that's honestly so embarrassing for her, thinking Leo is gonna go right to her." He wouldn't do that right? I thought to myself, knowing her words would always affect me no matter what I did.

"Yeah Leo isn't that dumb I hope" she says, emphasizing on the word that. "So cheer up, and come on let's go we're gonna be late for third period!"

Afterschool:

I was on my way out of class until I realized I left my lip gloss in English, on my way back I caught a glimpse of Leo and Isabella talking right in front of the classroom! I didn't wanna keep being seen as a stalker but I just kept running into them talking as if fate knew we were meant to cross paths.

"Quit talking to me, she's starting to get suspicious. We will never get back together! So stop messing around and find someone who's right for YOU and leave ME alone!" Really emphasizing on the words you and me.

"Oh come on don't play that game. You know you still want me" She said as she dragged out the e in me.

"No I don't! So stop being delusional and quit stalking me" Leo sternly said as he got the final word, walking out and seeing me.

"Rory wait!" He said trying to catch up to me after I speed walked to the entrance of the school trying to get out of the current place. I wasn't mad at him but I just needed my space at the moment.

"I'm not mad Leo I just really want my own space for now okay?" I said softly, knowing my tone can really affects our conversations.

"No, we're gonna talk whether you like it or not"

"I don't feel like it"

"Isabella has been stalking me ever since we broke up! I keep telling her to leave me alone but she wouldn't quit. So when I confessed to you, she became really mad and kept talking to me and somehow you would always find out and it looks really bad on my part. But no I don't like her and never will. So Aurora Hart please, believe me, I love you and only you." Leo said as he began gasping for breath.

"You love me?" I said in shock, erasing all my before, and current thoughts, leaving me speechless.

"Yes and I always will." He said as he hugged me.

"I love you too Leonardo DiCaprio" I said while slightly crying since I was overwhelmed with all my emotions.

A/N - oh my gosh it's been so long! I love seeing how many of you guys added my story to your guys reading lists, and it means sm to me. I've been recently dealing with depression and been kinda stuck in a dark hole, but I've been getting better so that's good. Leo is kinda the only one who can cheer me up which is kinda funny to confess but I miss the community here and on TikTok, but I hope I start to have more motivation to publish more work, and sorry to keep you guys waiting.
