~~~~~~~~~ The fifteenth floor~~~~~~~~~~
Faded lighting revealed the dark old hallway. The silence was coated with a bone gnawing temperature and at it's most hair raising dread.
Lou and Ellen got to their shaken up sore knees trying to piece theirselves together. Lou glanced down at his legs feeling the throbbing twinge.
They stepped out of the elevator together staring down the gloominess of the dull cob webbed corridors.
Doors struggled to not collapse from the rusted up old hinges, ambience seemed to shatter the skin mauling silence.
Ellen fished out her flashlight from her pocket. The ray of light revealed areas of old cracked an peeling wallpaper and posters of encouraging quotes.
The two continued on down the halls that were caked with dust. Further they go they come across the doors that leads to the patient's padded cells.
They came across another room with broken chairs scattered throughout the areas. More sappy cheesy posters hung across the walls.
Ellen shined her flashlight at the rooms, hospital beds and wheelchairs were seen against either walls or collected in areas of the floor, deeper and deeper they go, until they reached room cell 15.
The door way forcibly etched out 15.
The duo stared out at the entrance, "It's not gonna slam open by force or anything supernatural related?" Lou chuckled
Nothing happened so far. Ellen slowly opened as the doorway creaked softly.
The area had ripped up padded flooring, letters that were nailed to walls, papers spread throughout the cell with scribbled messages and a bed with a missing mattress.
Ellen shined her flashed throughout the area till she came across the a rope that was tied to a near fixture but the other end look like it was snipped.
"Will Lou..t-the story..was r-real"
"What about this crazy ghost" Lou wondered while trying not to let or show the essence of dread to naw away at his stomach.
"He..h-he could be any-anywhere.." Suddenly the two heard sudden rattling of chains and handcuffs in the distance. Footsteps can be hear, but they sounded much like bare feet then shoes.
The duo headed to the exit door to investigate the sudden noises to see if it was true.
The chains were now heard scrapping against the floor, Echoing throughout the hallways. A good amount of distance from the source.
The two stopped, they looked around. Nothing. They kept going, out of the corner of his eye Lou saw a figure that was a possible apparition. Then the next moment the figure vanished.
"I think I-I..caught a glimpse of him"
"Oh..eheh..I-I knew it was t-true" Ellen said with a lace of anxiety.
