Awik is finally here!!

Awik's POV

"I submitted my resignation yesterday."

After announcing the news I expected some exaggerated facial expressions, along with some dramatic noises but to my amazement, nothing like such happened.

"Bhai, Mazak ke liye sara din pada hai abhi." Ekansh spoke while leaning across the table to get himself a glass of water. (Brother, a whole day is left to joke around)

"That's mine. Go and get yourself from the kitchen." Swatting his hand away, Naina mumbled.

Have these guys even heard what I just said?

"Naina, What the hell. It's just a glass of water. Stop acting as if I asked you for your life." Ekansh glared at her.

"Actually I was thinking of resigning-" I tried stopping the circus show which was going around in front of me.

Before I could complete the sentence Naina interrupted while looking at Ekansh "You know I won't even think twice."

"Of course, you will happily give up your life for your bhai." He cooed while pulling her cheeks.

"Let me complete my sentence at least. I was saying I won't even think twice before saying NO." she deadpanned.

"What more I can expect from you anyway? Just pass me the water now. You've already drained half of my energy." With a scoff, he replied.

"I am not sharing my glass with you" Naina spoke while stuffing her mouth with a slice of bread.

"To kya mai aise hi pyaas se mar jaau?" Ekansh almost whined. (So should I die of thirst like this?)

I swear I would've murdered these two long back, if only the killing was legal. Why would I spend my life in jail because of these two buffoons anyways?

"Enough! Can you both stop now?" I snapped at the two of them.

Ekansh and Naina, are my siblings. Nothing which I can do about it now.

While Ekansh and I radiate the energy of a literal golden retriever, Naina on the other hand is a walking Dracula. No one in the right mind will mess with her, except Ekansh of course. People always take her as a rude person, but truth to be told, she is an extremely private person, who likes to keep her circle close.

She once broke a boy's nose because he was talking shit about Ekansh and me. Ekansh and I literally shed happy tears that day.

Whenever I am on the verge of exploding because of pressure and anger, Ekansh is the only one who keeps me sane with his nonsense talks. He is an effortlessly witty, charming, hopeful, humble, and upbeat human. Not that I'm going to admit it in front of this pigface.

"Sorry bhai, you were saying something?" Naina was the first one to speak.

WOW! No Naina. I am just trying to perform a song here for the past ten minutes, and you guys are not allowing me to do the same.

"Yes, I said I've submitted my resignation yesterday." I replied in a flat tone, resisting the urge to answer something in sheer sarcasm. They wouldn't be able to understand the satire anyway.

Before I could answer, a shrill voice of falling something pierced my ears.

The spoon in Ekansh's hand is now lying somewhere on the floor, his hand still positioned the same way and his mouth hung open.

He is a perfect guy to play a mother-in-law in some daily soap. He is that dramatic.

"By any chance, are you suffering from a deadly disease bhai? Is that why you are leaving the job and not telling us about it" He asked while narrowing his eyes at me with a worried look. There you have, a typical Ekansh reaction.
