Deciding where to meet for the first time was a headache for Jin.

When he went out by himself, it was easier to slip in somewhere quietly, and although he wanted to avoid attention, if he was seen then it wasn't the end of the world. However, if he was caught with Luna, there could be dangerous consequences.

He didn't want to take her just anywhere. He could easily hire a private room in a fancy restaurant. The food may be excellent, and it may be the safest option, but it wouldn't be comfortable and Jin wanted their first meeting to be just that.

Usually, Jin was full of confidence, unapologetically so, but this was unchartered territory. Waiting for Luna's answer was even more nerve-wracking than waiting for her first message. What if she didn't feel a connection between them like he did? What if she felt it was too soon? Perhaps he was moving too fast, but he was so excited.

The past few months since he finished his military service had been lonely. Hoseok was due to be discharged in a few weeks, but it would be over 6 months until the rest of the members joined them. This time had made Jin realise how reliant he was on them. They were his friends, his family, his colleagues, and although it wasn't a bad thing, it had caused him to think about what might be missing.

Before his mother called him, Jin hadn't thought much about finding a partner and starting a family. Well, the thought had crossed his mind. At his age, he was asked about it often enough, but he always felt as though it was something that could wait. With his line of work, they were discouraged from having relationships, they were told that there would be time for that in the future when their careers weren't at stake.

He didn't know what would happen when BTS was reunited, but he felt secure enough that he wouldn't let his career stop him from living his life. After his mother put ideas into his head, and especially since he started talking to Luna, Jin knew that finding someone he could share his life with, in ways that he couldn't with his BTS brothers, was something that he wanted. Something he was ready for.

In the end, his brother agreed to close their restaurant and Jin arranged to meet Luna there one evening. On the day of the event, he wasn't sure if he was more nervous or excited. It wasn't a feeling he was familiar with. It was different from how he felt before a concert or an interview. Over the years the fear of messing up had all but disappeared and performing with his BTS members was nothing less than fun.

At least one thing he didn't have to worry about was his looks. He had spent the afternoon rereading the messages they had sent to each other before heading over to the restaurant to make sure that everything was ready. He gazed at his reflection in the back of a spoon as he waited for her to arrive. Since the restaurant was officially closed, Jin had one of the staff looking out for her.

He jumped up out of his seat when he heard footsteps coming down the hallway. He unconsciously held his breath as he waited to set his eyes on her for the first time. When he did, his first thought was that he had made the right decision, and his second was that her photo did not do her justice.
