It was a few weeks since their first dinner together and Luna had never longed to spend time with someone like she did with Jin right now. They had tried to arrange to meet up multiple times, but their schedules never seemed to align. However, they had done a few video calls, and they messaged each other all the time, but it wasn't enough.
Luna couldn't believe what her life had turned into. Only a couple of months ago, she was alone and had no thoughts of changing that. But a thought turned into a questionnaire which yielded a match. She never dreamed that she could meet such a wonderful person, and what was even more magical was that he felt the same way.
In her free time, between texts and phone calls, it had been very tempting to continue her initial research into BTS. She knew surface-level things, what Jin had told her, and she listened to their music. However, she also knew that Hoseok had finished his military service, Jin had told him about her, and he wanted to meet her.
This terrified her. If Hoseok didn't like her there was no chance of her relationship with Jin continuing. Hoseok was Jin's family, one of the most important people in his life, and someone he saw regularly if not every day. If Luna didn't get along with even one member of BTS, there was no place for her in Jin's life.
This was her main reason for wanting to watch as much BTS content as possible. To be prepared. She was also curious about why they had such a big and devoted following of fans. What she had found out so far only made her want to know more. But she resisted.
So instead of researching BTS members, Luna looked up some of the video games Jin had told her he played. If she couldn't prepare for meeting Hoseok, then at least she could be prepared when they played video games together. Hopefully, that wouldn't be for a while because she was really bad at it.
Her phone buzzed.
Jin: I've got a bit of free time tomorrow afternoon. Are you free at 3 pm?
Luna: Yes!
Jin: Finally!
Jin: Is a cafe, okay?
Luna: Sounds perfect!
Jin: I'll send you the address.
Jin: I can't wait to see you again.
Luna: Me too.
Luna: How do you feel about hugs?
Jin: Love them.
Luna: I thought so ;)
If Luna didn't have a class to teach soon, she would've spent that evening deciding on an outfit for her second date with Jin. However, she did have a few hours before she was meeting him to try on everything in her wardrobe.
This is what she was doing when she got a call from Jin.
"Hey."
"Luna, I'm so sorry."
She put down the dress she was holding, and her heart sank.
"You can't make it today?"
"Things have run over here. I should have factored that in, but I really wanted to see you."
"It's okay, Jin. I understand."
"No, it's not okay. I still have some free time. I just won't be able to make it to the cafe and back before my schedule later. So, I was thinking..."
"Yes?"
"You could come to HYBE?"
Luna was sure she didn't hear him right.
"Huh?"
"Can you come to the HYBE building? Instead of the cafe?"
"The HYBE building where you work?"
"That's the one."
"Is that allowed?"
"Pff! Do you know who you're talking to?"
Another time Luna might have laughed, but she was dumbfounded that was going to Jin's place of work for their second date.
"Okay then, I guess I can do that... and you're sure they'll let me in?"
"I'll come and get you myself. Don't worry."
Luna couldn't help but worry, but she trusted Jin. So, instead of thinking about where they would be meeting, she focused on how excited she was to get to see him in person again. Their first date had gone well, but only time would tell if everything was as perfect as it seemed.
