Two Months Later

Third Person Omniscient

It's been two months and Lola and Steph were going strong. No problems, no arguing, no cheating, no lying. Lola was the happiest she has ever been in a relationship. Of course they have their disagreements, but Steph was really good at sitting and actually talking about what the problem was and how they could fix it. Lola never had an emotionally mature man before but she knew they were one in a million. She wasn't going to mess this up.  When she told Slim, he was very disappointed because he wanted her and G to fix things. But he understood why they weren't together right now and respected it. He loved Lola and he was happy if she was happy.

A week after Lola and G's heated fallout, they met up again and talked things out. Lola put everything on the table and so did G and they worked out their differences, so they are cool. They talk here and there but she keeps her distance because of her relationship with Steph. G knows she is with someone, he just doesn't know it's Steph...he'd probably lose his shit if he did find out. Steph doesn't know Lola still talk to Keenon as a friend, and I know if she told him, he would lose his shit too. So Lola decided to keep everything from everyone in hopes that it won't blow up in her face.

Lola

"Hey baby, I'm on the way to your house. You need me to pick up anything?" I asked Steph.

"Uhhh nah. The food is almost done though so you might want to hurry up. Did you know what movie you wanted to watch tonight?"

"I thought you had all that figured out?!"

"I do! I just know how yo picky ass do!" We both laughed and continued to talk. I soon hung up and turned my music back up. Tonight was date night and we were doing dinner and a movie. Steph and I always do date night on Fridays, but every other Friday we include Jamari. Jamari was so hyped to find out me and his dad were dating and he immediately told everyone in the family. As I laughed at the memory of him calling his mom and aunts, my phone rang. It was Keenon. "Hello?"

"Wassup Lo? What you doing?" He asked me.

"I'm on the way to my date why?"

"Damn every time i call you going out wit yo nigga. When we gon go out again?" I rolled my eyes.

"Here you go with that bull. We will not be going out on a date ever! We are not together nor will we be getting together." He smacked his lips.

"Yea whatever. Imma call you after yo lil date though. 1." And he hung up.

Third Person

Yes...Lola was more than happy with Steph, but there was still something in her that loved G deeply. I mean they were together for a while and they shared so much chemistry. She would never break Steph's heart though. She knew she needed to make a choice and make one fast.

Lola

I pulled into the driveway and parked my car. Steph was already outside his door with a bouquet of flowers and Lola cheesed at the sight.

"You are just too cute!" Lola said as she hugged and kissed Steph. She took the flowers and smelled them.

"I fixed your plate. I got your purse and coat. You go ahead and get comfortable." He took my purse and coat and opened the door for me. I went to the living room and the set up was so cute. She got comfortable in her spot and Steph came out with her plate and a glass of wine.

"Thank you baby." He kissed my lips and forehead and went to get his food. Once he came back, we began our movie and enjoyed our night.

After the movie was finished, we played a few games and listened to music. I loved our date nights and usually I spend the night but I couldn't tonight. I had to pack for a business trip to New York. I put my shoes back on and Steph offered to carry my purse and coat to the car. Once he put everything in, he grabbed my waist and pulled me close to him.

"When am I going to see you again?" He asked.

" I'll only be gone for three days."

"Mhmm. Well shit last time you said that you ended up staying a week!"

"Yea I know. Last minute business meetings, photo shoots, fashion shows, etc. You know that though! I facetimed you during all of it."

"Yea I know. You know I just be missing you that's all." I smiled.

"You such a big ass baby!!" I laughed and he smacked his lips. "Give me a kiss big ass baby." We kissed and he opened and closed my door. I drove off and made my way home.

Two hours later

As I packed for my 8 am flight. I was on the phone with Neeki. Neeki ended up moving two hours away for a big job opportunity so we don't see each other often anymore. As we talked and laughed on the phone, there was a knock at my door.

"Girl who is at your door this late at night? Steph?"

"Can't be we had date night to-" I looked through the peephole and saw Keenon. "Girl it's Keenon."

"Hell no...hell no Lola!!! You cheating on Steph with that lame ass nigga?? I can't believe you."

"I would never cheat on Steph!! I'll call you back!"

"Lola no-" I hung up the phone and opened the door. "What are you doing Keenon? You told me you were gon call me!"

"Changed my mind." He came in and went to the living room. I sighed and locked my door. "How was your lil date? Who even is the nigga?"

"You got 10 minutes then you got to go. And don't worry about who I'm dating. It's none of your business." I sat on my loveseat across from where he was.

"Damn. when the fuck you started putting time limits on me?"

"The last time you was over here was the last time we tried to date each other nigga. Of course you didn't have a time limit then. I'm in a relationship now." He rolled his eyes.

"I don't wanna talk about you and your new nigga." He got off the couch and stood in between my legs and leaned down. "I wanna talk about me and you." I looked up at him and he licked his lips. My God.

"10 minutes up." I moved him back and I got up. I went to my door and waited for him to follow. He laughed slightly.

"See you later Lo. Love you." He kissed my jawline and left. I locked the door behind me and sighed. I won't be speaking to him again for a while.
