On the last episode of Down Bitch...

I was at the crib with the homies chillin. We were having a small kickback and we had a few females over. Music was good, business was going good, artists and the label was good. Shit. A nigga had to celebrate. I got on Instagram right quick. Just to see what was going on. As I scrolled I ran across a new post from Lola mama.

"What the-" I scrolled through the pictures and my heart dropped. Then a wave and anger came over me.

"WHAT THE FUCK!!" I yelled.

Keenon

"Ay G! What the fuck is wrong wit you blood? You good?" TeeCee asked me.

"EVERYBODY GET THE FUCK OUT!! GET OUT NOW!!" The females grabbed their things and ran outside. TeeCee and Slim were the only ones who stayed.

"Blood you trippin? You broke yo shit and there's a hole in the wall!" Slim said. I grabbed the bottle and took it to the head. Slim snatched the bottle. "You trippin fr now! What's yo issue?"

"Lola got engaged...she got engaged to that fuck nigga!!" Slim and TeeCee looked shocked.

"Nah blood you just seeing things...nah." Slim said. He pulled his phone out and went to instagram but didn't see anything.

"Her mama posted it! Her page is private so you not gon be able to see it. I know what the fuck I saw tho blood." I sat down and silently cussed to myself. "Out of all niggas it's him though? The nigga i suspected all a long? The motherfucker who been trynna get at Lola since we was together?" I rubbed my hands down my face. This shit got me sick. Aint no way I'm letting this happen.

January 3rd

Lola

Today was the day we were leaving. The last few days have been amazing. I'm still surprised at the proposal. I now understand why he got this huge villa. Our families stayed in the villa with us the last week. We were all packing up and enjoying our last day in the villa. Our flight leaves tonight at 6 and right now it was the morning. I took Jamari out to the pool and watched him swim. My mom came out with two glasses of water for us to drink.

"Thank you mama." She sat beside me and handed me a glass.

"You welcome. How you feeling?" She asked me.

"I feel great." She nodded. Jamari got out and I gave him his towel so he could go in and take a bath.

"How do you feel about the engagement?"

"I feel good about it. Why do you ask?"

"Because I know you. I know your happy about it. I just want to make sure that ALL loose ends are tight before y'all go any further." She gave me that look and I nodded my head. She kissed my cheek and got up. She was right. I knew I needed to talk with Keenon and break things off completely. Yes I loved Keenon and yes I hoped we would get back together but when I really sit and think about it. There was no way he was going to change and there was no way I had the strength or patience to deal with the cheating, the lies, and the drama with his baby mama.

"I choose Steph." I told myself. I got up and went inside. This decision was the right one...I know it.

Back in LA

We were back in LA and had major jet lag. We stripped down to our underwear and got in bed and went to sleep. I had a meeting once again with the same big company who wanted to buy my brand, but this time someone else was in charge. I needed all the rest I could get for this meeting.

The next morning

"Hey Lola! Steph told me the great news!! Congratulations beautiful!!" Karen said.

"Thank you so much. I'm going to send you a bunch of photos and videos! Are they ready?" I asked.

"It's actually just one person you're meeting with this morning. He asked for it to only be you and him." I raised my eyebrow but complied. I walked into the meeting room and there stood a handsome black man with cornrows, a fresh lineup, and a nice suit on. He smiled at me.

"Nice to meet you Ms.Waters. My name is Samaj Warner but you can just call me Samaj." He put out his hand and I shook it.

"Call me Lola. It's nice to meet you! So you are the head man in charge now huh?" I asked as I took a seat.

"Yes ma'am. I've been in this business since I was 20 years old. Worked my way to the top for 10 years and now i'm here. I'm glad you decided to meet again. I'm aware that the last meeting didn't go so well. I apologize." I smiled.

"Apology accepted. So. Lay it all out on the table for me. What's different about this meeting?" I asked. I grabbed my iPad and went to my notes app.

"Well Lola. We have been watching your business grow since you started it. It is now 2021 and your brand Lola's Finest has remained at the top for the last three years almost four. We haven't seen anything like it."

"Thank you."

"I'm going to lay out two offers for you. One from the company and one from me." I raised an eyebrow. "The offer from the company is to buy Lola's Finest in its entirety. It would still be your name but the designs you sold years ago will be brought back, just a different cutting and design. In this deal they give you $3 million upfront and after a year, if the business is still at the top, we give you another $3 million. If not. They rebrand your whole business and sell it to an even bigger company." I looked at him like he was crazy. " BUT...this is my deal to you. We offer you a divestiture. You sell the marketing and manufacturing division of your company for 5 years. After the 5 years we will present to buy your whole brand if you see fit. This way you can decide whether you trust us or not with your amazing business. And I will make sure you will get $10 million upfront. I did my research and your business is worth $6 million right now. That'll change in 5 years." I stared at him. I wrote down some more notes and put away my iPad.

"Thank you Samaj for today. Please have your company come up with a typed proposal so that my team and I can look over it. You have a week." I got out of my chair and I shook his hand again and left.

In all honesty. His personal deal sounded perfect!! Absolutely perfect. Considering my business was growing quickly, it was the perfect way to cut down on my workload. I might take him up for his offer.
