A unexpected couple

1 day ago at the police station

All might and aizawa got into the car the rode in to the station, the silence heavy strained with guilt and exhaustion. " give the boy time before you speak to him all might; if I remember correctly he and ashido requested to leave campus tomorrow for her brothers birthday let them enjoy tomorrow then you can talk." All might hummed in acknowledgment

"I understand but uh where do I even begin he didn't even look at me. Inko will kill me when she finds out"  all mights eyes were watering as he finished his statement making Aizawa nervous. " I get your close and all but get it together you can't focus on the road if you're crying. I'll be damned if a car crash be the thing that takes me out"

All might chuckled but wiped his eyes and focused on the road " but seriously toshinori just sleep on it you have tonight and all day tomorrow to figure it out"

The rest of the drive was silent. As the pulled up to the staff dorms aizawa quickly got out of the car he had an inkling that yagi wanted to talk more on the situation. He was right toshinori head was spinning with plans on how to apologize and the possible outcome to them.

Eventually he got out the car and walked towards the building to head to sleep.

Waking up toshinori spent an hour and a half staring at the ceiling. Apologizing shouldn't be this hard. It comes easy to most but for some reason toshinori couldn't formulate the words that would truly express how sorry he was. He understands he fucked up but every time he tries to even explain to himself why he said what he did, why he acted that way, why his trust In midoriya dwindled...he can't. There's no reason that doesn't put him in a worse position than he already is. No reason that wouldn't justify midoriya punching him out n the mouth if he truly felt like it.

These thoughts carried on until his phone went off with the display name: inko <3

Yagi contemplated not answering, really he did but seeing as he isn't on the best of terms with the younger midoriya it wouldn't be wise to upset the elder.

With a deep reluctance he picks up. "Hey inko.." . "Good morning yagi, how are you? Is everything alright you didn't call last night.." toshinori slaps his forehead and mumbling a string of curses. " i just had a lot on my mind last night I forgot to do so" inko hums before replying "do you want to talk about it? It's not about izuku is it?"

Toshinori stills, there's a long pause before he licks his lips and replies. "Yea actually it is..." those few words are enough to send inko into overdrive "oh no he's hurt isn't he? What hospital is he at? I can be there in 10 minutes" the elder hero almost smirks at the woman he loves frantic words, that's one of the things he loves about her how much she cares for her son. The nearest hospital is 20 minutes away from her house yet she'll make it in 10.

"No koko he's not hurt, ...not physically" inko stops midway putting on her second shoe. "What do you mean not physically? Toshinori what happened?"

So much for not wanting to upset the other midoriya.

With extreme regret, frustration and hesitation, all might explains. From todoroki being aloof and vague to him harshly accusing izuku of involvement with villains, the dejected response and avoidance of eye contact he got and the clearer explanation from mina.

Luckily for izuku he has a mom that's always on his side and will stick up for him anywhere and everywhere until her last breath. Unfortunately for all might that means he's in the receiving end of that strapping love and loyalty.

"What. the. actual. fu-" toshinori knew it was rare and out of character for the younger woman to use vulgar words but he also knew he deserved every ounce of it.
