A unexpected couple

Chapter 14

Six. Six times izuku caught iida staring at him two of those times it wasn't a normal stare it was the look he had when he wanted to rip apart stain.

Both of which were times uraraka was being extra touchy. He also noticed he got a glare or two from his girlfriend and jirou and a look of disappointment from momo.

It was only noon and people looked like they wanted to beat the shit out of him or scold him. The lunch bell finally rang and izuku has never ran out of a class so fast, his teacher damn near got whiplash, yea he's definitely gonna get scolded for that later.

Izuku was just simply trying to eat in peace, unfortunately he has a chatty uraraka flushed against his arm, her arms tangled with his forearm that's just resting at his side, a burning glare from jirou that he can feel within every nerve of his body however every time he turns to the purple haired girl she quickly looks away and focuses on her pink haired friend that was now avoiding eye contact with him.

To add more fuel to the fire iida was very obviously fuming a hidden vain now popping out his head while he harshly chews his food. Izuku wasn't dumb he knows his friends anger is towards him and he knows the exact reason however he wasn't going to bring it up until iida could come to him like a man to handle the issue whether physically or verbally.

And to finally top it all off all the other classes decided to throw in their two cent about how 'cute' him and uraraka looked together. Despite him saying time after time again he doesn't like uraraka like that. Yea that peaceful lunch was a single figment of his imagination at this point.

He knows the thing with uraraka is also bothering Mina but if there's anything he's learned in his time knowing Mina, if she's enraged let her cool down first or else it'll get worse, the couple have been together a little over a year within that time they've only been into two serious arguments that were settled fairly quickly. Since then they agreed that if something is bothering the other to think on it then bring it up so they can properly talk.

Present mics class was a lot more tense than normal, especially with uraraka coming over to his desk every 10 minutes to ask for help of some sort. Every time she skipped over he felt like all eyes were on him. It got to the point where as soon as class was over he made a dash to the hallway. Eager to get to his dorm and do his homework in peace.

But of course someone just HAD to stop him, however the interaction was rather deja vu. Iida harshly bumped his shoulder muttering the words "ground beta, we need to talk". Izuku heavily sighed through his nose and followed the blue haired man. However there was two people trailing behind the pair.

Once the arrival of ground beta came iida dropped his stuff, turned around and threw a heavy hit to izuku's gut making the the green haired boy stumble back doubled over in pain and irritation. "Damn iida didn't take you for the type to not use your words, are you finally gonna tell me what has your panties in a twist?" Izuku said standing back up straight firmly planting his feet ready to charge up one for all.

Iida let out a growl similar to Bakugos and charged for another hit that was swiftly dodged. Deja vu. "Look I'm not trying to get expelled before graduation so use your words or I walk" Izuku was just plain irritated, iida was still not talking but still very much so pissed.

Izuku was almost 10 feet away from iida when he hears a engine get charged up. Next thing he knows he's swooped up and tossed into a building. The purple and pink haired guest decided to make their selves known. Unfortunately for izuku he was swept back up and tossed like a rag doll but he did hear iida mutter something before being brutally tossed into concrete. "I don't get what she sees in you...that I don't have"

"IIDA WHAT THE HELL"  at that both men shifted their attention to the two girls that followed them. Iida just ignored them and went for izuku again this time throwing more punches. Mina tried to make her way over to him but paused when yelled telling them to stay back. Izuku finally got up serving two 10% kicks to iida ribs. "Mina, jirou go back to the dorms we'll talk when I get back" Izuku was charging up waiting for iida to get up so he could get another hit on him. "And let THIS continue happening hell no!" Mina practically yelled at the top of her lungs as she watched her boyfriend hit and get hit.

"LOOK WE CAN TALK ABOUT ALL THIS SHIT WITH YOUR FEELINGS LATER RIGHT NOW IT ISNT SAFE FOR YOU TWO TO BE HERE" Izuku had to kick up one for all to 25% just to avoid someone of iidas hits but he could tell the other males adrenaline was running out

Mina scoffed "MY feelings and shit? This isn't JUST about me!" Izuku kicked iida in his engine making it fizzle and pop. "FOR FUCKS SAKE I KNOW THAT JUST GO AND WE'LL TALK LATER, YOU CANT BE HERE RIGHT NOW" at those words Mina stomped off with jirou silently trailing behind. With his engine broken Izuku slowly walked up to iida waiting for him to explain.

When he didn't speak Izuku decided to. "You know I'm not into her so what the hell" iida scoffed at that and and whispered "I know that but why can't she see that?" Izuku kept quiet feeling that the other was gonna speak again, "I mean you don't even talk to her as a friend like that anymore and she still likes you, hell I just don't get it, I listen to her day after day go on about how 'amazing' you are but won't look her way, it's like the lines are drawn in front of her and she closes her eyes....look I'm sorry midoriya it's just frustrating"

Izuku didn't really know what to say to that so instead he just helped him stand up. As they were walking back going over all that just happened Izuku remembers the words he said to Mina and mumbled a "fuckkkk". Iida looked at him with a brow raised. " the stuff I said to Mina... oh shit I'm screwed" iida smirked and fully turned to his friend. "You and ashido seem pretty close, what's going there". Izuku stared blankly before chuckling " she's my girlfriend iida... at least I hope she still is, this whole thing with uraraka has been getting to her lately"

Iida smirk faltered "well I'm sure you'll come up with something to make up, and if you need me to talk to her just ask and I'll do so"
They approached the dorms to see a very pissed off jirou tapping her foot. Iida patted Izuku on his back as a farewell and entered the dorms while jirou was glaring daggers into Izuku.

"Look jirou I know you wanna scream my head off but I need to go speak to Mina" Izuku huffed moving to sit on the stairs. "No! I don't think you got my warning midoriya, she didn't say one word on the walk back! And when she got here she locked herself in her room momo is trying to speak to her as we speak!" Jirou was standing in front of him the way aizawa does when scolding one of them.

"Then why don't you let me go so I can make up with her!?" Izuku said with a slight bite in his tone. "No you're gonna do it properly tomorrow until then don't even try to speak to her, after tomorrow I better hear the best things coming from her or it'll be your head" with that she walked into the dorms. Izuku didn't take her threat seriously knowing that he could easily overpower her. But he did start thinking of ways to fix his fuck up.

Dinner was awkward to say the least the whole class wanted to know where Mina was since she didn't come down. Bakugo sent him a text asking where she was to which he ignored in front of him making him growl in annoyance.

Izuku had a a hard time sleeping that night the bed felt too empty it was his first time in months sleeping by himself. It was uncomfortable. So he busied himself with plans to fix his mistakes...little did he know his partner was having the same sleeping issues.

A/n: not someone adding my story to their "discontinued" reading list...ANYWAY it's been awhile thanks so much for fucking 30.6k reads like holy hell I appreciate that so much. As to why I haven't been updating I kinda sorta failed almost all my classes last couple months so I had to get those up. No idea when imma start chapter 15 but it won't be out until March cuz my birthday is coming up and I'll be busy but see u next time.
